SSSC270 - Ahoy There!

Ohhhhh my!  Did I have fun with this weeks sketch!  I have to admit that this is the first time I've put ink to this sweet set from The Cat's Pajamas too!  Yes, I am hanging my head in shame.  I purchased this set - A Whale of Time several years ago!

 

I changed up the sketch just a little bit to compensate for my waves.   What will you do with this interesting sketch?

Handle with Care - SSSC250

Happy New Year!  I hope the new year has greeted you with lots of love and laughter!  It's been nice to have some down time these past couple of weeks.  As life would have it I ended up sick on Christmas, but hey sometimes a forced time out is what's need.  LOL!  As always we are already on to the next holiday - Valentine's.  I grabbed this cutie Bear Hugs - from The Cat's Pajama's.

 

Today is also bittersweet as we bid farewell to two crafty rock-stars - Jackie Pedro and Karen Motz.  Ladies I will miss chatting it up with you every week, but you can rest assured I will still be stalking you on-line.  :)  Love you both bunches!

Naughty & Nice - SSSC246

Happy weekend everyone!  We had a bit of rain yesterday that just begged me to stay in doors and play with some more of my neglected stamps.  I'm still on my holiday kick and decided it was time to get a little whimsical with this fantastic image - Raising Cane from The Cat's Pajamas.

I took a little liberty with the sketch by using some holiday twine for panel.  Here's a close up of my little guy.  I'm pretty happy with my coloring.  It's true what they say, practice, practice, practice!

You're Snow Bunny - SSSC199

Happy Weekend!!!  We have been freezing here in Northern California this past week - literally.  It's been in the low twenties at night and barely 50 during the day.  Yes when you're used to high 60's to low 80's most of the time it can be a bit of a shock.   I finally broke down and bought a little space heater for my craft room.  For some reason, it happens to be the coldest room in the house. The mojo flows much better when I'm warmer. LOL!  Karen is also definitely heating things up with her latest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.   For my card I decided to dust of my favorite bunny from The Cat's Pajama's

I inked up Freezin' Season onto Copic X-press It paper and colored it with my Copics and outlined it with my pearlescent chalks.  I added a little pink chalk to the snowbunny's cheeks for fun.

SSSC#178 Have a fun TACHE tic day

Good morning!  Thanks for dropping by today.  It's time for another fabulous sketch from Karen Giron.  If you want to play along you can find out all of the details >> HERE<<  I had so many ideas for this sketch and I decided to make it based on an ATC I recently created for a swap I host.  

It seems everywhere you turn today its all about mustache's!  My daughter is slightly obessed with them too. For Christmas I picked us this set from TCP and the coordinating die to tuck in her stocking.  She FLIPPED when she saw them.  Mom had actually got her her own stamps and dies.  I was the one borrowing from her this time.  She loved that! 

 

As you can see I went for the CAS (clean & simple) look.   I started with black card stock for the base followed by a layer of kraft that I cut out a circle using my classic nestabilities.  I then ran it through my Cuttlebug using my dots embossing folder.  I paper piereced the frame of the circle of patterned paper for added detail.

SSSC175 - You're Magic

Howdy!!!!!!  Long time no blog.  I've been away getting better from my bout of Vertigo.  It has NOT been fun.  I'm feeling very grateful to be feeling 100% today.  And just in time to play along with Karen Giron'sfabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  Have I mentioned how much I love her  sketches?  Well I do!!!!!!!!  And you will love this new one.  Feeling the love that's been in the air with all of focus shifting to Valentine's Day now that Christmas if over, I had to ink up one of my favorite TCP sets - PRESTO!  I took a little liberty with the sketch and moved the star to the right side of my image.  I don't think anyone will mind.  **grin**

 

 

 

I love how the red, black and white came together on this card.  I couldn't resist adding several rhinestone gems to this little number.  I mean doesn't all magic require a little sparkle?  Hee-hee!  I may have to tuck this aside to give DH on Valentine's Day.  My lovable bunny is colored using my favorite "E" Copics - E41, E42, E43 & E 44.

SSSC170 - Naughty or Nice?

Woo-hoo!!!  It's time for another fabby Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.   Are you ready to have a little (or a lot) of fun?!  You won't want to miss playing along with this baby.  

There were so many options for this sketch.  And I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to play with.  I decided to finally ink up this adorable bunny from The Cat's Pajama's.  The set is called Raising Cane.  How cute is that? 

 I started off by stamping the image with Memento ink on Copic X-press It paper and coloring it in.  Then I fussy cut him out and added some Sparkle Fluff to his hat trim and then drizzled some glass effects on his nose and candy cane.  For my square panel I cut out a piece of kraft card stock with my nestabilities die and then ran it through my Cuttlebug using my square lattice embossing folder.  The patterned paper is from Imaginisce Polar Expressions collection.  It's an oldie, but goodie.

Yes, I'm still here!  Sorry I haven't been blogging as much lately.  While it seems things are quite around here, they're not behind the scenes.  I've been a busy bee gearing up for new stuff.  More to come tomorrow!!   But I won't leave you hanging any longer.  Today I'm back with Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!

 

 

Halloween is definitely in the air.  My DD is busy plotting with all her besties what they're going to be.  For me it's all about the STAMPS!!  I decided to use one of my favorite TCP stamps - Witchy to help me out.  Isn't she a cutie?!  This sketch was perfect for me to pull out my web border punch and fun new Halloween paper from Doodlebug Designs.  To get my night background, I air brushed my circle while it was still in the die.  I used a small cloud die cut as my template and moved it around to get the effect I wanted.

SSSC162 - My Heads in the Clouds

Hi there!  I hope all my U.S. friends had a wonderful and safe 4th of July.  We didn't do much but hang around the house.  It was nice to sleep in past 6:00 a.m. too!!  I also had a chance to play along with Karen's latest sketch challenge. 

I recently picked up this special edition paper pad from Basic Grey's - Shine On from my local Joann's.  I thought it would go perfectly with this Take Off image from TCP.

 

 

Here's what I came up with.  After coloring the bunny, I paper pieced the plane with some of the coordinating papers included in the pad.  I then fussy cut him and propped him up on some cloud patterned paper.  This paper is SUPER fun.   Instead of flower I used a sentiment flag and some felt clouds.   I may have to add this to my masculine stash.  Never seem to have enough of those.

Magical SFYTT

Good Morning friends!!  I hope everyone had a good weekend.  We got a little rain here in the Bay Area.  Not quite as much as expected, but we'll take what we can get.  I didn't do much this weekend.  It was kind of nice to just do whatever.  I finally got rid of my 10-day headache too.   It was a combination of a sinus pressure and a migraine.  After a quick trip to Walgreen's, I spoke to the pharmacist and she recommended sudafed and ibuprofen.  It worked! 

I felt so great yesterday I decided to stamp just for fun.  Woo-hoo!!  Of course I needed a sketch to help get my creative juices going.   I used Jen's SFYTT and this adorable set from TCP called Presto!

I wanted to do a love themed card with a more masculine feel.  Thinking ahead for DH and Valentine's Day.  **grin**   I chose to use some patterned paper from  My Mind's Eye Love Me collection and grey card stock from SU!

 

I love the way this turned out.  Very different for me as you guys know I'm more of a pastel girl.  I couldn't leave the corner without a little something.  I ran some of the red card stock through my Cuttlebug using the hearts trio die from TCP.   A button and some twine finishes it off.
