More Key Ingredients Fun!

Hello!  I meant to get this post up yesterday and somewhere between my daughter's summer activities and my crazy schedule it just didn't happen.  Sorry!!! I have another fabulous sample featuring this month's Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions.   I had so much fun whipping this beauty up.  Like my first KI card, I used the Make It Amazing set.  I love the simple elegance of the images and how it coordinates with the patterned paper - Cosmo Cricket's Tea for Two.  

I kept my layout simple using some coordinating ink colors to match my paper.  I stamped the flower with cantaloupe Memento ink and the frame and sentiment using rich cocoa.  Don't you just love this yummy ribbon?  I tied a double loopy bow using my Bow Easy. Love that tool!

Sketchy Thursday

Hello everyone!

It is with a heavy heart, but after a lot of thought & prayer I've decided it's time to discontinue Sketchy Thursdays.  Participation has been dwindling steadily for the past several months and I just can't continue to dedicate the time to creating and posting them any more.   I plan to focus more on my current design team commitments and stamping just for fun!  Ohhh how good will that feel.  LOL!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to everyone that supported them.  It truly was the bright spot to my week to see all of the wonderful creations using the sketches.  I hope that you will continue to visit my blog even though there won't be any more sketches.

Happy almost Friday everyone!!!

I hope your week has been going well and as fast as mine has.  I much rather be busy than bored.  Idol hands do not do well with me.  Next week begins sneak peeks for All That Scraps.  Yes, it's already that time.  I've been busy coloring up all the new images --- how's that for a tease?!  SORRY!!  And I can't wait to share them with you.

Many of you know her as Nana Connie and her blog, Grammy's Attic.  One of the many blessings about this craft are the wonderful people it brings into your life.  I can say that about this fabulous lady.  She is an amazing crafter and real kick in the pants.  I just adore her and her stamping style.  This card is no different.   I mean there's nothing better than stamps & cupcakes, is there?   I love her take on the sketch as well as her bold and vibrant colors. They just jump off the screen!  I always look forward to seeing your work my friend!

Happy Sketchy Thursday stamping friends!  As you're reading this, I'm sitting in our state's capital (Sacramento, CA) attending a very fun (not) disability seminar for work.  Cue the violins..... feeling sorry for me yet?  LOL!   I'll survive, it's only for the day.  Hee-hee!

Who could resist this little guy.  Am I right?  Jacki has all of the right ingredients for this card.  First she took the sketch and whipped it into a masterpiece.  Love, love, love the colors she used for her card.  While it has a masculine tone, it's just adorable!!  Her coloring is amazing as is her eye for details.  The button accents are the perfect finishing touch for this layout.  Be sure to check out her blog, Paper Moments.  There's a lot more eye candy there to inspire you.

Is it really Thursday already??  I've been a day behind all week.  The only reason my posts are right is because I can set them to post on a certain day & time!  I guess that's what happens when the kiddos are off school (spring break) and your routine gets changed.  LOL! 

It was nice to see some familiar faces play along with last weeks sketch.  And the cherry on top was some new ones!   Thank you everyone for continuing to support and play along each week.  I'm always in awe of what you guys create using the sketches.

So many things drew me into her card.  I absolutely love the sentiment.  But it wasn't just that.  Having rotated the sketch gave the card a whole new look.  She has so many details that kept me wanting to see more.  I love the texture, and soft elements she added.  You guys know how much I love my pinks and pearls!!   Be sure to hop on over to Christi's blog, Blessings on Paper to see her other little works of art.

Happy Thursday!  And welcome to this week's edition of Sketchy Thursday.  I'm surprised I didn't post this yesterday.  All week I've been a day off, thinking it was a day later than it was.  Not fun.  Because today would/should be Friday!

I'm sure it's easy to see why this card drew me in.  At first you might say it was the bright, cheery colors and how she used the sketch.  But in case you didn't know, this is a 3-D treat dispenser box!! You have to stop by her blog, Heather's Coffee Break, to see more shots of this amazing project in action.   I also like how she added the bits of bling here and there.  Once again Heather's outside the box thinking caught my eye and literally had me tasting the rainbow!

I fell in love with this adorable image she chose as her focus.  He's from Bugaboo stamps.  Jenn created this card for her hubby's birthday.  I'm sure he loved it too.  I like how she kept to the sketch and jazzed it up with her own style.  She also caught my eye with her fun choice of colors.   Throw a cupcake on top of it all and you have a winning combination!  Be sure to visit her blog, Jenn's Card Corner for more inspiration!

Gooood morning stamping friends!!!  I can't tell you how excited I am that there's only one more work day left in this week.  The days are longer, but the nights definitely seem shorter.  Am I right?  With any luck I will catch up on my sleep this weekend and kick this whatever I've caught.

What did I tell you?  As soon as I saw these gorgeous butterflies I knew it wasn't a coincidence!   I rarely have a vision of what I see my sketch looking like when I draft it, because you guys ALWAYS exceed that vision.  Just as Dana has with her beautiful card.  I like how she uses just the right mix of black to make her colors POP!  In case you missed checking out her blog, Got Joy Creations, last week be sure to head over there and leave her some love!
