We Need to Catch Up - SSSC219

  Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful Mom's out there!  And may I remind you Mother's Day comes before Father's Day for a reason.  Just in case they forget! LOL!   Whatever it is you are doing today I hope it's fabulous.  For me, I plan on NOT doing anything like laundry, cleaning, cooking or grocery shopping.  Heck I may even stay in my PJ's all day.  Who knows.....

Springtime Wishes - SSSC209

Spring is in the air around here.  The daffodils are blooming and the fruit trees are sprouting cherry blossoms.  I can't wait!  Meanwhile I'll just enjoy the much needed rain and hide out in my craft room.  I will admit it's been harder getting motivated to hit the gym.  The only real exercise I've been getting is lifting my wine glass in the evening!  Ha! 

Karen has a fun new sketch for us to play along with.  For this new sketch I inked up this Doodle Garden Springtime Wishes from MFT.  When inking up actual images (as opposed to digital) I always use Copic X-press It paper and Memento ink.  The quick drying ink doesn't bleed on this fabulous paper and it makes blending my colors a cinch.

You're Picture Perfect!

Smile!  If Photo Lizzie from Whimsie Doodles doesn't make you then I don't know what will.  I absolutely *heart* this image.  You can find her in the People images section of the store.  I used one of my favorite color combos - kraft and black for my layout.  The camera is a die from MFT called Cute Cameras.  I added the heart and used a clear rhinestone gem for the flash.

Spring Time with BLD

Good morning!  How is everyone doing today?  Switching things up today for the BLD Spotlight post.  I decided to warm things up a little bit with a spring-y image.  I printed out some of my favorite spring time BLD images, included is this cutie Puddle Jumper Maxie.   I just adore her.  After printing her out on to my go to paper for printing digi images - TE Choice snow white card stock; it's thick enough for my coloring needs yet thin enough for my HP Photosmart printer!   I colored her with my Copics and highlighted with chalks.  MFT BluePrints 3 made my layout a cinch!

SSSC208 - Happy Birthday

Hey there everyone!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  I for one am glad the work week is behind me.  Next week will prove even more challenging as my hubby is having surgery on Tuesday.  I'm hoping all goes well and his recovery isn't as hard as we've been told.  I'll be home with him while he's on the mend for a few days.  Hoping to sneak some stamping therapy in the mix.  LOL!  For this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch I decided to pull out a few of my favorite things to play with.  No pun intended there.  Hehe!!  I started with my February Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions for my papers and dies.  I then decided to use this adorable Pure Innocence - Birthday Girl  image from MFT.  I mixed things up just a bit with the sketch, but overall I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  You can never have too many birthday cards on hand.  Am I right?

One more Valentine.... SSSC207

Howdy peeps!  I hope you are all having a great weekend.  I'm back today with another fantastic sketch from Karen Giron.  We're squaring it this week.  I played a little bit with the sketch and squeezed out one more Valentine card.  I love how this turned out.  It's not your traditional Valentine colors.  A few new items helped me create my card.  First is the sentiment from the Big Bold Valentine set from Taylored Expressions. I used several die-namics from MFT too.  For my mini rolled flowers, I sponged them with kraft ink before I rolled them to give them a distressed look.  Couldn't resist sprinkling some clear gems throughout.

Love - SSSC206

Hi there Sweet Sunday Sketchers!  It's been pretty wet here in California.  Not complaining a bit.  We need it and then some!  I just wish I didn't have my car detailed.  LOL!  Figures, right?   Karen has a fabulous new sketch for us to play with this week.  Can you believe we're up to #206!  I was so happy to play with a circle this week.  You guys know how much I love me some circles.   As soon as I saw this sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  It's not often this happens.  I usually have to let it roll around in my head for a bit.  LOL!   As you can see I'm still on a black and red kick.  I pulled out what was left of my Echo Park Yours Truly paper pad and got busy. For the circle element I used my new die-namics TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love.  Isn't it fantastic?!  I love it!

I love you with all my heart --- BLD Spotlight

Happy NOT Monday!  Boy after that crushing Super Bowl game Sunday (not sure you want to really call it a game), yesterday was the pits! Yes I was rooting for the Denver Broncos.  I've watched football most of my life and I have to say I've never seen a game quite like that before.  I think I've recovered from both the bad game and a case of the Mondays.  Hee-hee!

I'm spreading some love curiosity of By LORi Designs!  I can't get enough of some of my new toys from MFT.  I created this CAS card featuring this framed Lollipop Gracie Valentine.  I just *heart* her!
