C.C. Designs September Release

Good morning!  It's Monday and hopefully most of you are enjoying an extra day off work in observance of Labor Day.   I'm not planning on doing much labor today (i.e. housework, laundry, etc.)  I plan on spending some time in my craft room getting inky and coloring.  As you may have guessed by the title of today's post it's time to start previewing the newest images for C.C. Designs.  Christine gave us a little "nugget" (aka surprise) with this new image, called Autumn Words.  I just adore it.  In fact it was inked up and ready to go about a month ago!  Yeah I get excited easily by new rubbah.  

Feeling inspired by the autumn theme fot the image, I reached for my stash of Harvest Lane paper from Simple Stories.  I love the warm rich colors in this paper pad.  I kept the layout fairly simple to focus on my main image panel which I cut out using deckled rectangle nestabilities.  I airbrushed the image which was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink with various E colored Copics.  I then topped it off with some leaf dies and a coordinating button.   The September release will be available Thurs. Sept. 5th at 9:00 am EST!

More Midnight's Mischief

Good morning everyone!!  It's Wednesday and I couldn't be more happy about that.  I'm looking forward to the extra day off for the Labor Day holiday.  I'll be tucked away in my craft room burning things up for the upcoming C.C. Designs release!   Speaking of C.C. Designs, you may be able to tell from this little guy I have another image to share with you from the August release.  This image is from the amazing Amy Young (aka Sweet November) - Midnight's Mischief.

You guys know I was all over this sweet set since it has a kitty and I love all things kitty!  I just adore the little look on his face too.  I used some older MME paper - Boo to You for my layout.  The way I positioned my image it looks like the kitty is looking at the spider.  This is a different color combo for me too.  I hope you like it.

C.C. Designs Review - Monkey Feet

T.G.I.F.!!  Another week has flown by.  I'm ready for things to slow down a bit.  I kept waiting for that to happen over the summer but that doesn't seem to have been the case.   It's a good thing that I have plenty of reasons to stamp.  Not that I need an excuse, but when there's laundry and a house to clean it works for me!  LOL!

Today I'm back with a fun little Halloween-y treat featuring C.C. Designs newest illustrator - Monkey Feet.   I dug through my many paper pads and found one I picked up from Michael's a few years ago.  It's from their own Reflections line.  I really liked this black wooded patterned paper with the green eyes peering out.  I added some fun glittery card stock stickers from DoodleBug Designs to dress up the scene I wanted to create.

Say Cheese! - C.C. Designs Meoples Hangers

Is it really Monday already?  Wahhhh!  I have a few friends to help me get through my Monday blues.  Meet Meoples Hangers.  These kids are no stranger to C.C. Designs, but the concept of "hangers" is.   I love it too.  These images measure about 1-1/4" x 1-1/4".  All I had to do is stamp them and fussy cut them out to "hang" them just how I wanted them on my card.  The sentiment is from a special release called Bubble Word Sentiments.  In case you missed it, you can check them out >> here <<  They're super fun and the coordinating dies are a must have!

Too Cute to Spook - Ghost Spooky

Happy Hump Day!!  I have a spooky little treat lined up for you featuring another new image from C.C. Designs.  Up today are the adorable Meoples Ghost Spooky.  I love everything about this collection.  In case you are new to C.C. Designs or the Meoples collection you can see them all >> here<<.  I stamped my image onto Copic X-press It paper and colored in the lettering with some of my favorite purple Copics.  I used my rectangle nestabilities to cut and mat my image.  I airbrushed the image while it was still in the die with B14.   

I used my favorite go to for sparkle - Clearsnap's Smooch Glitz in Frost to fill in the letters.  Because everything is better when is shimmers.  All of my patterned paper is from Bella Blvd's Too Cute to Spook, which was released last year.   I love this paper!  Here's a close up of the *sparkle*

More C.C. Designs Sneak Peeks - Midnight's Mischief

Happy Hump Day!!  Are you ready for another sweet Halloween-y treat from C.C. Designs (formerly All That Scraps)?  I know I'm ready.  Is it just me or is anyone else having a hard time knowing that Halloween is just 3 months away from today?!? 

Amy Young worked her amazing drawing magic again with Midnight's Mischief.  This set includes four images of Midnight. You guys already know I loves me some kitty cats.  Just look at my blog banner.  **grin** I just adore the sweet expression on this kitty's face.   I colored her with my Copic markers onto X-press It paper.  I then fussy cut the image and added her to my card base where I used some Doodlebug Designs paper.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Ghostly Greetings.

Bear-y Trick or Treat

Happy Monday!  I've given you a little trick this morning.  I'm posting later than I usually do.  Trick first and now for the treat!  We have a new illustrator in da house at C.C. Designs.  Please welcome - Monkey Feet.  Do you absolutely love it or what?  Needless to say I do.   This fits perfectly in with the many whimsical images Christine carries under the C.C. Designs line and it's right up my alley.

I colored this lovable trick or treater using my beloved Copics.  I cut the image out using my classic square nestabilities.  While the image was still in the die I used my Copic air can to airbrush a nightly sky.  The paper is from Pebbles Inc.  A quick addition of some twine and a little pumpkin charm from Making Memories to wrap it up.

C.C. Designs Sneak Peeks -

Good morning!!!  I have a special weekend treat.  It's time for the August sneak peeks for C.C. Designs.   I'm super excited to be sharing this first post.  Why you ask?  Well it's a Halloween post!  Crazy right?   Summer's not over!  That works for me because it's one of my favorite holidays to create cards for!! 

For today's peek I'm using Meoples Ghost Boo.  As soon as I saw this image I *knew* I had to pair it with some Doodlebug Designs paper.   I also broke out my beloved MS web border punch.  You guys remember how popular MS punches were?!?  LOL!  It's still one of my favorites.

You are one in a melon!

Happy Friday stamping friends!!!  We made it to the end of another work week!   Do you guys have plans for the weekend?  I'm not sure what's up my sleeve yet.  I kind of like keeping things open.  I definitely know I will be hitting up my stamping room.  I have some upcoming sneak peeks for my DT assignments.  Can't wait to show them to you!!

I inked up this sweet Swiss Pixie - Watermelon Abigail again to create this summery card.  I used some gingham paper I've had from A Muse along with some patterned paper from Jillibean Soup.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Sweet Summer Sentiments.    I had a blast coloring this image up.  I kinda have a craving for some juicy watermelon too.  LOL!

The Ants Go Marching

Does anyone else remember that childhood song?

Now I normally don't like ants.  But these were just too darn cute to not share with you.  I'm really looking forward to this upcoming weekend.  I know it's only Tuesday, but this Saturday is my family reunion.  I wasn't able to go last year and it seems like forever since I've seen some them.  Thank goodness for Facebook! 

I wanted to do something a little special for this years event.  I created these quick and simple invites using one of the new sets from C.C. Designs. This is from the Webbie's Words line - called Ants Go Marching.  There are several different images included in this set and I was able to customize mine to say reunion.  Since we're having it in a park the ants theme was just perfect.  Don't mind my chicken scratch writing.  LOL!  I've listed all the products I've used at the bottom of my post.
