ATC Roundup ---- Spoiler Below

Hi Gang!  It's the start of another week - again.  Sigh......  Here's hoping the week goes by fast.  It's been awhile since I've posted some ATC's (Artist Trading Cards), and since I just finished April's, I thought I'd share them with you.

If you've never particpated in an ATC swap, I *highly* recommend them.  You can often find them on Splitcoast Stampers.  And in case you are wondering what the heck an ATC is, it stands for Artist Trading Card.  They are mini works of art.  You can find a fabulous tutorial on SCS - here.  I host a monthly swap with varying themes.  Here's what I created for January.

 

Up, Up & Away!  For this ATC I used Sky's The Limit and Clouds Impression Plate from Taylored Expressions.  My ATC was based on THIS card I posted back in January. 

 

FEBRUARY

 

((hugs)) was inspired by THIS card from Karen Giron.  I used Love Monsters, Heart Impressions Plate,  Hearts a Plenty dies & Layering Doily (small) die from Taylored Expressions.

MARCH

Can you guess what the theme for March was?  Hee-hee. Well it was green and since I had picked up this AWESOME set from The Cat's Pajama's forever ago I thought I'd ink it up.  It's called A Beary Good Year.  And it truly has everything you could need to make cards for any occasion all year round!

APRIL

And here's my latest.  Our them was Spring.  I used one of my newer BLD images,Bug & Roo Bunny Girl 3.  The design was based on another card I did HERE for BLD.  Can I just tell you how much I ♥♥♥♥ these images.

I have a stamp filled week planned for you.  To kick things off, here are the last 3 ATC's  (Artist Trading Cards) from my swap group that I whipped up.

 

 

 August 2011

 
For this ATC I couldn't resist using one of favorite Sweet November Fairwee's.  This cutie is Jilly.   The gorgeous butterfly die is one of the fabulous C.C. Cutters from All That Scraps.  If you haven't checked them out yet, you have too.  And I would definitely recommend this one as a starter.  It comes with two different dies.  One large and small, pictured here.

 SEPTEMBER 2011

Next up is our little Lollipop Chef girl from BLD.  I absolutely love digi images.  They are so fun to size & re-size just to suit your stamping project.  I paper pieced her apron to match the oven mit.  I will have to do a tutorial on that soon to show you how easy it is to use this technique with your digi images.  Dies and sentiment are from Taylored Expressions.

 OCTOBER 2011

And last but not least, my roundup wouldn't be complete with my favorite holiday - Halloween.  I used my Fangtastic set from Taylored Expressions.  Can you tell I love kraft card stock or what?  I use it on a lot of my projects.  It's hard to tell, but every image in this ATC is heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a shiny finish.  It looks awesome in real life.

I hope you enjoyed this little round up.  If you've never tried creating ATC's I highly recommend them.  But be warned, they can become addictive!  There is a GREAT tutorial on SCS ---> HERE <--- in case you are interested.

ATC Roundup

Happy Monday!  And if it wasn't bad enough that it was Monday, today is my first day back to work from vacation. Let me first say - boy did I forget how nice it was to take some down time!  I had a really good week with DD.  We had a lot of fun with friends at the local amusement park, and a day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium! 

So back to the grind.  LOL!  This is my last week at my current job before I start my new one. 

Today I don't have a card to share with you, but rather this quarters ATC roundup.  I hope you enjoy them.  I sure had fun creating them.

For my first ATC I chose a card I did for a sketch challenge awhile back.  You may remember it >> HERE <<

For my next ATC, I was inspired by another card I made featuring one of my favorite BLD images - Lollipop Watermelon Smile.  You can view my card >> HERE <<

Sentiment is from BLD, patterned paper is from October Afternoon.

And for last month's ATC we decided to change it up and have a theme.  Hopefully after I tell you what the theme is you will see it - Lazy Days of Summer!

ATC roundup

Happy Monday!

I hope all of you mom's had a wonderful & rested Mother's Day yesterday.  I was treated to breakfast by my DH & DD.  For the most part it was a wonderful day, except that I came down with a cold late Friday night.   And no matter what I take I'm getting no relief.  Wahhhhh!!!! 

Today's post is going to be short & sweet cause my head feels like it's in a vice. 

My first ATC uses one of my all time favorite images from My Favorite Things, Miss You a Latte.  I practically had a heart attack while making these.  You see, the patterned paper (from Flair Designs) was my last piece from this collection.  It's an older collection, but as we know, a stampers worst fear is running out of something you can't get anymore!  But after seeing the finished ATC I think it was worth it.  *wink* 

 

 

For my February ATC, I knew I wanted to do something related to Valentines.  Pink Cat Studio to the rescue.  I purchased this cute digital image and scaled it down to print out a whole sheet of images.  Definitely another plus to digital stamps!!

 

Patterned paper is from My Minds' Eye.  I cut out some grass using my Martha Stewart grass punch and then stamped my sentiment (from Taylored Expressions Love is Sweet set).  It still needed a little something, so I pierced the bottom just a bit.

 

 
And last but not least, this was what I whipped up for last month.  I have to say I simply L*O*V*E* this bunny carrot car.   I would have easily bought this set (Hello Spring, from Taylored Expressions) just for this image. But the entire set is adorable.  I really like the way this one turned out.  Patterned paper is from We R Memory Keepers Hippity Hoppity collection and the sentiment is from MFT.  I couldn't resist the chance at using some of my yummy divine twine either.

Well kids, that's all from this little sickie today.  I need to get some rest.

ATC round up

Hi gang!

I can't believe it's Monday already again!  This weekend went by MUCH too fast.  And as usual I didn't get everything I needed to done.    But what I did get done I can't show you until tomorrow.  Sorry! 

What I can show you today is some ATC's that I did for my swap group.  These are from October, November & December.

 

  

First up is Itty Bitty Betty from Pink Cat Studio. She's a digi image I got HERE.  Isn't she just a cutie?!  I used the newest Halloween paper from Doodlebug Designs called Spooky Town to help me with my layout.  The grass border is a punch from Martha Stewart and the cloud die is from PTI. 

 

 

Next up is that playful pooch from The Cat's Pajama's.  I just ♥ this image.  Anyone that has ever owned a pet whether it be a dog or cat has surely walked in on them doing something like this.  I was inspired by Jen del Muro for this ATC.  She stamps on kraft card stock often and I've always loved the look of it.  The image is from the Give a Little set.  The tree is from All That Scraps - C.C. Designs Winter Tree.  The sentiment is from PTI's Holiday Button Bits.

 

Here's a close up.  I always heat emboss my images and the glossy black finish looks even better on the kraft cardstock.  Also some liquid pearls for the "snow" and lots of sparkle from my spica glitter pens.

 

 
 
And last but not least is this adorable Gingerbread Girl from Pink Cat Studio. More paper fun from Doodlebug.  This time from the Christmas Candy line.  My idea was to have this cutie with her cookie tray ON a cookie tray herself.  Get it?  I used some dark silvery grey dream cardstock as my non-stick baking sheet.  A little twisted humor.    The sentiment is actually from Taylored Expressions Season's Sweetings set.

ATC's - last few months

Woot-woot!!!  It's Wednesday.  I was already counting down the weekend before this week even started!  I have a few ATC's to share with you today.  If you are in my ATC group then you've already seen these. 

First up is my favorite new little bunny to hit The Cat's Pajama's - this set is called Joy Ride. 

My ATC was inspired by THIS card from my stamping idol, Susan Liles.  The fun cloud paper is from Best Creations.  Cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.  I added some Stickles to her scarf as well as the headlights.  The cutting was the hard part.  One is okay, but I did 10 of these!

Next up is another new favorite of mine.  This cutie is from Taylored Expressions, called Cuppie in the Kitchen.  Cuppie is mixing up some fun on this ATC.

I used the coordinating Project Pantry kit for my layout.  It includes yummy paper from My Mind's Eye So Sophie collection.  I especially love this sentiment because it includes the little whisk which I colored in with a silver pen.

And last but not least is my most recent ATC.  I've been dying to use my Everyday Button Bits set from Papertrey Ink.  I've had it for awhile now and haven't had the chance to use it. 

I was especially drawn to the cherry image when I first saw this set.  I also knew I wanted to use this paper I had stashed from SU! too.  The sentiment is also from the set.  Buttons are also from Papertrey Ink.

ATC Sneak Peeks

Happy Friday!!!!!!

I have a few ATC's (artist trading cards) to share with you today.  If you are in my monthly swap group - SPOLER ALERT -- DO NOT SCROLL DOWN! 

The first one I used my one and only Lockhart stamp.  It may be my only one, but I ldo love it.  I used some scraps I had from My Mind's Eye Just Dreamy 2 collection, paired  with some red and kraft cardstock.  I added the black gingham ribbon to complete the 'kitchen-y' look I was going for.  I also drenched all of the berries with diamond glaze for dimension.  Oh yah, and there's the apron punch again!  
 

For my second one.  You may recall THIS card from a few Sketchy Thursday's ago.  I scaled it down to make my ATC.  Easy peasy.  Patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Origins line.

For my latest ATC I was completely inspired by a card my friend Tori made.  You can check it out HERE.   I simply adore this image from Elzybells and knew I wanted to make a spring-y card for this swap.  Pink & blue are one of my favorite spring colors so I went with it.

Don't have any plans this weekend.  THANK GOD!  Have been running around like a crazy woman the past few, so I'm really looking forward to doing nothing.  I hope you all have a relaxing weekend too.  And maybe get a little stampin' time in as well!

More ATC's

Happy day after the Super bowl!  And what a game was that!  I was super happy to see the Saints win it.     What made the game even better was my husband's office did an office pool and DD won a square!  He bought a square for all of us and her's won - $250!!!  You should've seen her dancing around the house last night.  To her a dollar is big money.   She won't be getting it all to spend though.  We already told her it's going in her bank account.  Surprisingly she didn't seem to mind.

I don't have any cards to show you today, but I do have some pictures of some ATC's I did over the last couple of months. 

Using Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits set made this one super easy to do.  I used Brilliance Pearlescent ink in Chocolate for the image and sentiment.  PP is from a holiday stack I picked up last year from Martha Stewart.

The next one was based off of THIS card I made back in December.

For my most recent ATC I CASE'd THIS card from my dear friend and ATS sister, Tori Wild.  She's a rockin' crafter and SUPER sweet.  When I ran out of this Basic Grey PP I reached out to her to see if she had any left and she sent it straight away.  Thanks Tori!!!   

I'm working on some secret stuff for All That Scraps this week.  I'll get to show you all in a few days.

Artist Trading Cards - Spoiler Alert!!

Good Morning!!  I am such a happy camper that the days are turning colder.   <----  Reminds me of my little Jinxy.     I can almost smell the holidays coming.    I particpate in some monthly swaps and I realized that I haven't posted them.

This little spider is one of my favorite images from C.C. Designs Spooky Spooky.  I added some black sparkly fluff all over the body and some diamond glaze to the eyes to dress up the image.  It looks awesome IRL.  The web is a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

 

The next one was super fun to make.  The adorable dog is from Taylored Expressions Beary Special Set.  I was also excited to finally be able to use my new MS loopy punch.  I tried to make it look like the dog was laying on a rug.

 

This one may look a little familiar.  I was in a time crunch so I turned to THIS card for inspiration and scaled it down to fit a ATC. All images from The Cat's Pajamas.

 

Another ATC inspired by one of my cards.  THIS one to be exact.  I couldn't resist using this mermaid Sprinkle image by The Cat's Pajama's.
