Happy almost Friday! I hope your week has been going well. I've been a busy bee lately and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that school is starting in a few weeks! We shopped for back-to-school supplies the other day and I still couldn't believe it. Am I a total nerd that I still ♥ love to shop for school supplies? I don't know what it is about it that I love so much. Maybe because it's like buying crafting stuff! LOL!
Okay so now I want some candy! Well not literally. Today's post features Jen's awesome SFYTT for the month and the sweet new kids on the block - The Meoples.
I did something a little different. Well at least different for me. I used white card stock for my base. I almost never do that! LOL! I've seen other crafters do that and I always say, "why didn't I think of that!" I used more fun paper from Echo Park's Hello Summer to show off my sweet lollipop wielding Meople. After I got her all colored and popped up on the card it was missing a little something. So I stamped this fun sweet ticket logo in warm red Colorbox ink on kraft paper. Once the ink dried I cut out the tag using a coordinating ticket die from All That Scraps and added some red pearls to the corners.
Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps blog to see what other sweet treats the design team has created for you!
Have a *SWEET* day!!
Recipe:
Stamps: I Want Candy Meoples & Sweet Treat Logos from All That Scraps
Paper: Cardstock from PTI & Copic X-Press; patterned paper from Echo Park Hello Summer
Ink: Memento & ColorBox
Accessories: Copics, pearls from Kaisercraft, ticket die from All That Scraps, Smooch Glitz, fishtail die-namics, classic circle nestabilities and dimensionals
I love shopping for school supplies too...but my youngest will be a Senior in HS and my oldest just graduated college...so guess what? The past several years I wasn't able to shop for fun pens, folders, markers, etc....unless it was something I was adding to my craft supplies...which I always seem to find!
I use white alot on my card bases, makes it easier to write inside or add some patterned paper or a stamped image.
Love your card!
