Woot-woot!! It's time again for another........
I love to go back, because after all retro is good. Right? Don't the best of the best always come back around. Hello? The 80's!!!! LOL!! Seriously they do. I've been itching to make some Halloween cards and the hop was a perfect excuse to get one in.
My card is a true blast from the past, as it uses some patterned paper from one of the very first Key Ingredients kits! How retro is that? LOL! All images are from Taylor's very first stamp release back in 2008! This set is called Trick or Sweet and is still one of my favorites. I used my beloved Martha Stewart web border punch and a web embossing folder from Cuttlebug for my card. The rest was pretty simple.
As always Taylor issues an optional challenge for the Blast from the Past blog hop and this time it was a sketch created by the amazing Sankari Wegman. Naturally I had to play along as I am hopelessly addicted to sketches.
Here's a close up of Mummy Cuppie with his *sparkle*. As I always say everything is better with some sparkle, right?!
I was having so much fun using my older TE stamps that I even combined Taylor's sketch from Friday - TESC121 for my 2nd card. The stamp is another one of Taylor's first stamp releases. This set is called Sweet Celebration. I thought it went perfectly with this month's Key Ingredients kit. Don't you just love this patterned paper? It's from KI Memories. The cardstock included in this kit is so bright & cheery that it screams summer.
I borrowed Taylor's idea about using stickers to compliment the card. I've had these birthday cardstock stickers from Doodlebug FOREVER. I turned them into balloons to keep with the theme of a birthday card. Do you like it?
Here's a close up of the cake. I used my colorless blender pen to add the dots to the cake.
Well as they say, that's all folks. I hope you enjoyed my cards showcasing Taylor's stamps from the past.

I think you are right, great minds do think alike!! I could not stop laughing (in a good way) when I saw that we both used the web edge punch and the greeting coming out to the side on a piece of paper cut practically the same! AND, it was halloween related! Super cool card. I love the colors, I love the embossed web...I totally love it!
