Welcome to the Claudia & Company blog hop!
This is my very first blog hop since joining the team and I'm super excited to share with you the stamps that are going to be released this month!
If you've arrived here from LORi's blog, then you are in the right place! If not, you'll want to start at the beginning over at the Claudia & Company blog.
Let's get this party started!!! First up we have the lovable and completely adorable Ella. You may recognize her as she is the beloved mascot from Lori Boyd's, The Pink Elephant challenge blog. I wanted to do her justice and color her as she is originally. As well as her bow. Dontcha just love it?
For the layout I turned to THIS sketch from Taylor's customer blog hop she had a few weeks ago. Great sketch. I'm sure I will be using this one again!!
Do you love these papers? They are from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop collection which is available at Die Cuts R Us for a great low price of $5.95 for the 8x8 paper pad! The sentiment is also from Claudia & Company - So Random Sentiments and it also comes in spanish. I *love* this set. It is a clear set so you can manipulate the stamp as you set it on your clear block, like I did to mine.
Next up is Sammy, the lovable brother of Ella. And he's just as cute! I was having fun playing with circles, so I kept going with it. Again turned to another sketch from Taylor to help my stamping mojo.
Do you like the way it turned out? The card literally took me about 15 minutes to put together (after I colored my image and picked out my papers!) A fast stamper, I am NOT! The patterned paper is also from Die Cuts R Us - DCWV's All About Boys paper pad. Can you tell I *heart* me some paper pads? Yep, I'm addicted to them actually. I used another sentiment from So Random Sentiments. I told ya they were perfect to have around.
How about a 3-peet?! Okay you twisted my arm. This set was created for Claudia by Maree Truelove.
This set is called Birthday Princess/Quinceanera. I think this is a fantastic set because there isn't one like it out there. And we all know a little girl (heck even us big girls) who like to be treated like a princess on her birthday.
For those of you not familiar, a Quinceanera is a Latin celebration of a 15 year old girls coming of age. Very similar to a sweet sixteen party. It's a very big deal (like a wedding) and very fun to be a part of. I did not have one as a teen, but I did partake in one of a good friend. I was the equivalent of a bride's maid. Pink Pepto Bismol dress and all!
Detail shot of her special birthday dress.......
As you can see I got a little carried away with the pearls on her dress. It's difficult to see, but I also used a Heidi Swap ghost heart shape with a button and twine accent on the sentiment. Patterned paper is from Girls Paperie (my new favorite) which is also from Die Cuts R Us.
Whew! You guys made it to the end of my post!!
But wait there's still more! Continue on with the blog hop now by heading over to Mary Giles blog! She has some great samples to show you!! Be sure to follow the hop in order AND leave a comment. One lucky winner will receive a gift certificate to Die Cuts R Us!!!
After your done hoppin' head back on over to the store and fill up your cart with all the new stamps!!
Thanks for stopping by friends!!!
