ATS Review Preview - Sweet November

T.G.I.F.  We made it.  The weekend is almost upon us.  It's supposed to rain all weekend and I couldn't be happier.  1.) We need it, and 2.) it's the perfect excuse to stay in and stamp!

And as an added bonus our local boys, the San Francisco 49'ers are playing in the playoffs Sunday!  Go 9'ers!!!!   

Since I'm kinda in a celebratory mood, I thought this card featuring Jilly's Candle was perfect.

I used one of the new C.C. Cutters - Candle Border Die to spice up my card.  I used a piece of regular white cardstock and ran it through my dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Then I colored it with my Copics and Spica glitter pens to match.  I also used another one of the fabulous party time logos instead of a traditional sentiment.  The possibilities with these logos are endless.  I just love them.

ATS Challenge - Blue, Brown & Tan

I'm back!!  Any idea on what my big announcement might be?  Could it have anything to do with my little logo above?  You bet!  Today is my official first day as the ATS Challenge Team Coordinator!

This weeks challenge is to use BLUE, BROWN & TAN.  Easy peasy, right? 

 

I had cupcakes on the brain after watching a few DVR'd episodes of Cupcake Wars on Food Network.   Have you ever watched that show?  Soo fun. I inked up this new Sweet November Fairwee - Josie's Cupcake.

I started with some dark chocolate card stock for my base.  I looked through some of my paper packs and chose these patterns from Echo Park's Life is Good to work with.  The layout is a take on ESS #156.  I used my new large layering doily die from Taylored Expressions for one of my panels.  Isn't it pretty?  I love it!

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - Day 3

Good Morning! And welcome to our final day of sneak peeks for All That Scraps.  Only one more sleep until you can get your hands on these new images & dies!

My card features a different take on our birthday theme with Piper's Surprise.

I guess you could say I'm not quite ready to put away all of my winter supplies.  I just had to make use of all the fun stuff I picked up just for myself last month!  When I saw this image it immediately reminded me of my daughter when she was a toddler.  She used to have more fun playing in the empty boxes and bags than her Christmas gifts!  My paper is from Lily Bee Designs Jingle 6x6 pad.  I love the classic holiday colors included in it.

Winter Roundup - Sweet November

Hi there!  Did you miss me?  LOL!  I know it's been a big hustle & bustle out there getting ready for Christmas.   I still can't believe it's THIS coming weekend!  Where does time go?

I had to pop in this week to share this card with you featuring Sweet November's Winter Kid Tess & AmyR's Holiday Greetings sentiment.  I love these new Winter Kids from Amy Young.  They are super cute and I like the smaller size of the images.

 

I had this idea of what I wanted my card to look like, but I had to find the right patterned paper to pull it off.  When I rumagged through my mountain stack of Christmas paper, I found this older paper from October Afternoon and the light bulb went on.  I wanted Tess to look as if she was standing in this quaint neighborhood just feeling the winter air on her face. She's no doubt thinking of something pleasant, like the smell of warm, fresh baked cookies!  Okay, that's what I'm thinking about - always!  LOL! I couldn't resist adding a big ol snowflake to her cute hat.  These over-sized embellies seem to be the latest thing for beanie hats.  I have to admit I ♥ the way they look, however I don't see them looking that way on me. 

I'm not sure I will be posting again this week, so in case I don't I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

More ATS Sneak Peeks - Sweet November

Welcome back stamping friends!!!  I hope you enjoyed my return to stamping sneak peeks yesterday.  It felt so good to be posting again.  I'm not sure how I managed to sneak the time in though.  Things have started to get busy all of a sudden.  I'm not sure how or why.  I'm almost all done with my holiday shopping.  I did start early, but I've noticed that has backfired on me.  I keep adding "one more thing" and the list seems to have grown!!  LOL!

Oh well, it's a good distraction though.  Okay, so you are here to see a card, right?    Well I have one!  Amy Young has whipped up the cutest winter kids to join the Sweet November family!! 

This winter cutie is Georgia and she is ready to brave the snow filled slops!   There are 3 other friends joining Georgia on this release - Tess, Zach & Max.

I found myself in paper pad overload - too many choices!!!  I went through one of my many 6x6 paper packs and found this adorable lone piece.  I think it's from Echo Park.   I noticed last night while blog hopping Amy Young also used it on another card.  Great minds think alike.  LOL!!  I let my paper make the scene for me.  I added some snowflakes, covered in dazzling diamonds and icicle Stickles for the snowy ground.

If any of you like the snowflakes I will happily make some and send them to you.  Just leave me a comment or email me!!

How about one more sneak peek?

Happy Friday!!  I have one final sneak peek for you.  And I must admit this one is my favorite.  Amy Young has out done herself again this month with her adorable Fairwees!  This image is called Mia's Ornament.  The sentiment is also part of the Sweet November line too!   It's easy to see the appeal of this adorable image.  How many times as a child did you play with your reflection in the glass ball ornaments?  Come on.  I'm not the only one that did that, am I?  LOL! 

 

 

I busted out some of my coveted Tinsel & Twig paper from one of my many Project Pantry kits from Taylored Expressions.  Did I mention how much I love them?    Everything is all figured out for you!  After stamping and coloring my image I added a few finishing touches - paper piecing for the dress, Stickles for the wings, cherry Sparkly Fluff for the trim on her dress, and black glaze for her shoes.  The leaves and 5-point flower are also new dies from C.C. Cutters.  What I love about these 2 dies are that you can use them for non-holiday cards.  Practical!!

ATS Review - Hazel & Webster

I'm back with another hair raising card!!  I feel like I've got a good head start on my Halloween cards for this year.  Let's just hope I can say the same about Christmas!  LOL!!  Somewhere in between there's Thanksgiving too.

Up today, I have a new image from this month's release at All That Scraps.  This cutie is from Amy Young's Sweet November holiday images.  Meet Hazel and her eight legged friend Webster.   

 

I kept my layout simple using a single sheet of patterned from Echo Park's Apothecary paper pad(another new paper pad!) with my black cardstock.  The spooky fence is a die from TE.  What I like about clean & simple layouts like this, it allows your character image to be the star of the show - as it should be.   I had some glittered bats left over from my pennant banner project I couldn't resist adding one to my card.

ATS Final Sneak Peeks

Bwahhahaahahahaha!!!!! That's my attempt at a wicked laugh.    Okay, just humor me and go with it.   I'm trying to build a feeling of the Halloween spirit to help set a mood for today's card.  Amy Young has done it again with her amazing images.  I absolutely LOVE her style and she has knocked this release out of the park.

 

 

My card today features the adorable and too cute too spook - Mumford the Mummy.  He's out and about this Halloween night to spook the treats right out of the hands of any trick-or-treaters that cross his path.   But don't let him scare you away.  He wants to come to your house too.  Not to scare you, of course, but to help you get your Halloween projects started.

Believe it or not he couldn't have made my card come together any easier.  You may recall I have a small graveyard on my desk of bits and what-nots that never made it to become a card.  Well this card base, including the glittery patterned paper, was just sitting in there.  I scooped it up and added this fabulous haunted house sticker from Echo Park's Happy Halloween collection.  A quick cut with my circle nestabilities for my yellow moon followed by a bat punches using my MS punch.

ATS Sneak Peek - Sweet November Fairy Flitters

Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend....

Now I know you are going to have that Rebecca Black jingle in your head all day!    I heard it on the way into work and it's stuck in mine!   And if you have NO idea what I'm talking about, click on her name to see her You Tube video. It's unbelievable the amount of buzz this girl is getting.

Speaking about buzz, are you ready for another sneak peek?  Today's sneak peek is one of four new little ones from Amy Young's Sweet November line.  They are called Flitters.  They are so stinkin' cute!  Each one comes with a fruit.  I chose this one which is strawberry.  I had ideas swimming around in my head of what to do with her and the strawberries.  While it didn't make it to this card, I promise the next time you see her she will have them!

 

I have had this adorable paper from Cosmo Cricket forever and decided it was time to use it, since it seemed to fit with my little flitter perfectly.  Notice anything new besides flitter?  If you guessed the flower, you'd be right.  I finally used my new rosette die from TCP's.  It comes in 2 sizes and it's super easy to use.  You will definitely be seeing more of them on my cards.

My DD chose this image for me to work with.  That was truly tough because she loves them ALL.  This is the zodiac for Virgo.  I'm actually a Libra just on the cusp of Virgo by one day.  I just love the look on her face.  She's so beautiful and angelic.  Amy Young is just an incredible artist.

 

 
Here's a close up showing the spica glitter pens I used on the flower and her eyes.  Have I mentioned how much I ♥ these pens? The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Circa collection.  I thought it was elegant enough for this beauty.  I hope you do to.
