Hello there!  Are you ready for some sweetness and a little smile?  Add that and one fantabulous sketch, courtesy of Karen Giron, and you've got the recipe for success.  

I've fallen completely in love with these new Doodle Garden images from MFT.  Just when you think you just about seen it all, a new artist comes along and just captivates us.   And that's what Jennifer Nilsson did to me.   You may have seen her new designs over at My Favorite Things.  If not, be sure to check them out.  They are CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!  I'll be the first to admit, I do like images I can color.  I don't do as well with images that need no coloring.  It's just not in my comfort zone.  But I'm trying to challenge myself little by little.  This Doodle is called Sweet Garden.  I borrowed the sentiment from another DG set, called Springtime Wishes.  I love the font too.  I used some scraps I had from one of my many Key Ingredients kits from TE.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch.  After I colored my DG in, I paper pieced her with some coordinating print and fussy cut her.  Ain't she a doll?

BLD Spotlight - Bug & Roo Molly

Hi there everyone!  It's Tuesday and that's BLD Spotlight time!  Today I'm featuring one of the beloved Bug & Roo images, courtesy of LORi's amazing daughter, Hannah.  It's always difficult deciding which BLD image I should play with every week.  What I usually do is print several on a single sheet, color them and have them ready to go when it's time to play.  For some reason, Molly tugged at my inky heart strings and my card was born.

I started by printing my image on to Choice Snow White card stock from Taylored Expressions.  After I colored her up, I cut her out with my rectangle STAX die-namics from MFT.  I used my trusty paper piercer from SU! to add some texture around the image before mounting it onto some patterned paper from Echo Park's Hello Summer.  I have just a few sheets of it left.   Every stampers biggest nightmare, right?  It's okay, I made sure to buy a spare when I started tearing through it!  LOL!   This sentiment is from A Muse Art Stamps.  I tucked it under my sunshine die for a bit of fun.

April SOTM & KI Kit

                     

It's time to share some more goodies featuring this month's Key Ingredients Kit and coordinating Stamp of the Month!  I just have to say that it should be a crime for how much fun it is playing with these goodies.  But it's so easy and such a great value - whether you are beginner or seasoned stamper!

 

For my first card I wanted to play up the stamps included in the SOTM.  And nothing screams center stage like using black.  Everything just pops! I used one of my favorite TE dies - banner stacklets 2 to add my stamped images too.   I stamped them twice because I want to wish the person I'm giving this to double the celebration.  To top it off I wrapped it up in a bow as the card is my gift!

 

For my second card, I decided to play around with several elements to show the variety you get from the papers included in the kit and the stamps. I simply love the color of this ribbon.   Again I added just a pop of black to draw attention to the center image.

BLD Spotlight - Sugar Sticks Derby Girl

Hello everyone!  Did you all survive tax day yesterday?  I knew we were going to owe so I wasn't in a terrible hurry to get ours done.  I started on Friday and was so frustrated after 5-6 hours that I let it put a damper on my mood the rest of the day.  I told myself not to stress and just tackle it on Saturday.  Let's just say it didn't go any better.    I did manage to complete them yesterday and am just grateful to be done with them already.   In between my tax frustration I made sure to get some much needed stamping therapy in!  BLD to the rescue!

Oh shoot! - SSSC182

Hi there blogging friends!  I hope my post finds everyone doing great.  I've been down with a terrible cold and just as I was feeling better, got some double whammy bad news.   I'm hoping today is less of an emotional roller-coaster.  On the bright side it is time for a new fabby sketch from the ubber talented Karen Giron!  I live for these new sketches.  It means I get to play with my new stamping toys.  Hey, don't we all need a *good* reason to keep buying stuff!  HA-HA!  I recently picked up a few new things from Taylored Expressions -  Oh Snap stamp set and the coordinating camera die, flim strip border and instant photo frames.  Just a small order.  LOL!   I had also purchased some new paper pads from MarkerPOP.  I used some Teresa Collins Memories paper for this card.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors in this collection.  I made a slice with my exacto knife and tucked my sentiment "Oh Snap!" inside the camera to make it look like it was coming out like a real Polaroid.

Are you ready for a little spring fling?  I can't help but smile from ear to ear when I look at this cutie.   I printed PJ Maxie out onto my Choice Snow White card stock from Taylored Expressions.  This is my preferred paper for printing out digital images.  The ink from my printer (HP Photosmart) doesn't run or smear when I color my images and it blends my Copics well.  If you've followed my blog for any amount of time, then you will know I tend to color my images before I select my layout and papers.   So when I colored Maxie up with green & yellow I must have had Doodlebug's Fruit Stand patterened paper in mind.  Cause these are not my typical go to colors.

April Stamp of the Month!

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well and having a good week.  I am so thrilled I get to finally share this months Key Ingredient kit as well as the new Stamp of the Month!  And trust me you are going to F*L*I*P* for them both!  Just take a look at these images?! The possibilities are endless.   And how about these amazing colors?  As you may recall, last month Taylor debuted the redesigned KI kits which feature the option of adding a Stamp of the Month to your kit. You can find out more details over at the store HERE.

I have two projects to share with you today featuring the SOTM and the coordinating Key Ingredients kit!  

 For my first card I started with Choice Buttercream card stock for my base, layered with some blackbird card stock.  All of the fabulous patterned paper is from Fancy Pants Park Bench collection.  I absolutely love these colors.  The hints of black really make everything else pop.  You may notice a new die used on this card too.  There is a coordinating die you can purchase separately to go with the SOTM - it's called Simple Tabs.

For my second card, I followed a Mojo Monday Sketch #281 for my layout.  The bright color of this rain card stock and fun patterns made the perfect recipe for this sketch.  I love how crisp Taylor's images stamp.  I used some tempting turquoise from (SU!) for for the CONGRATS! sentiment.  I forgotten how much I love that color!  The flower and vine were also stamped onto Choice Buttercream card stock before I fussy cut them.

Happy Birthday All That Scraps!!

Welcome to the All That Scraps 6th Anniversary Blog Hop! I am so excited you could join us. All That Scraps is a fabulous place to find all your stamping/scrapbooking needs. 

 

Where do I even begin?  All That Scraps holds a special place (and always will) in my heart.  I came to know of this wonderful on line sanctuary by way of AmyR's blog back in 2007!   Her blog was my main source of inspiration when I started out and she was always referring to this awesome store where she got all of her goodies.  Naturally I had to check it out.  Needless to say I found anything and everything I could possibly want/need from All That Scraps.  And even better, their shipping was FAST!   Over the years the C.C. Designs line has evolved to include the beloved Sugarplums, Sugar Pixies, Animal Crackers, Beatrice, Kiki La Rue, Tumbleweeds & Meoples (just to name a few!)  I feel so honored to be a part of this amazing team.  And I'm even more excited about the future.

It was nearly impossible to select a stamp to celebrate with today.  I mean seriously pick one?!  This new Sweet November image, Fairwee Piper And Mia Banner Day, was begging to be inked.  I stamped the image on to natural card stock and colored it with my Copics.  I also used the newly released frilly banner die. I paper pieced both banners with a scrap of paper I had sitting on my desk.

BLD Spotlight - Lollipop Saylor Three

It's Tuesday and that means some BLD love.  I can remember the first time I saw one of LORi Boyd's cute images.  It was on the Stamping Bella website.  It was one of those moments you say "ohhhhh I have to have these!"  And I haven't looked back.  Good thing because between LORi and her equally talented daughter, Hannah the cuteness keeps on coming!

For today's card I paired some of my new and old favorites.  The sad thing is in the stamper world last week could mean old.  LOL!  But seriously the "old" I'm referring to for my card today is the lovely eyelet border punch from SU!  I picked that up years ago when it first came out.  I remember when border punches like these and from Martha Stewart were all the rage.  Now it's all about die cuts!!  Let's face it they are cheaper and WAYYYYYYYYYY easier to store!

I used some of my beloved MME paper from the March KI kit.  LOVE this kit!!!!!!  The colors are right up my alley.  I had lots of fun coloring this cutie.  I cut her out using my new banner stacklets from Taylored Expressions.  For a complete listing of the products I used on any of my projects you can find the thumbnails and links at the bottom of my post.

All That Scraps April Release!

Good Morning!!  Did everyone have a nice Easter?  We ended up going over to a friends to do a Easter egg hunt.  DD smoked the other kiddos, hands down.  She scooped up more than half of the eggs there.  Now if I can just keep her and my husband from eating all the goodies inside them I'd be okay.  LOL! 

When I got home I whipped up this little cutie.  One of the new Tumbleweeds called Lipstick.   I paired her up with my latest obsession, Die-namics Blueprints 1.  I used one of the many layouts you can create with these dies. 

I stamped her onto Copic X-press It card stock.  After coloring her with Copics I fussy cut her and added some liquid pearls to her necklace and some glaze to her lipstick.  All of my patterned papers are from Echo Park's Sweet Girl collection.  The colors are *super* fun and bright.  I'll admit they were a little out of my comfort zone, but having a layout already in mind, thanks to my Die-namics Blueprints, I was able to put this card together in no time.
