BLD Spotlight - I Heart Art

Hello!  My apologies for not getting a post together yesterday, but I've been feverishly working on something top secret and can't wait to share it with you all.   Tune in tomorrow for the details.  Before I share today's post, I wanted to thank everyone that shared their comments about the end of Sketchy Thursday.  I tell you some of you almost twisted my arm to keep it around!   With that said, I can't say they will come back anytime soon.  But who knows, maybe in the future.  For now, hopefully the break will energize me.  I almost couldn't believe it when I looked back that Sketchy Thursday's started in 2008!!

 

 

It's Tuesday and that can only mean one thing around here.... time for BLD!!  And of course I have a new Bug to share with you!  I let a big ahhhhh when I saw this image in the line of up new Bug images this month.  Love, love, love my BLD, Bug & Roo images.  This cutie is called I Heart Art.  How cute is that? 

I just received a big haul from Taylored Expressions and this paper pad, Summer Fresh from Simple Stories was in it.  Don't you just love it when you get something on line that looks even yummier in real life?  Then again, we're talking about paper, one of my other obsessions. LOL!

BLD Spotlight - Watermelon Girl

It's Friday! Friday! Friday!!!     Is it stuck in your head now too??   Well it could be worse.  I woke up to a jingle on my clock radio that is still stuck in my head since 5:00 a.m.!

You may have seen today's post over on the BLD blog earlier this week.   I didn't have a chance to post it until now because of my ATS sneak peeks.  We had more nice weather last weekend here in No. California.  So my card was inspired by a little spring fever. 

 

I had to use my beloved Lollipop Watermelon Smile.  Love, love, love this image.  All of the patterned paper is from Lilly Bee Designs Hand Made collection.  The prints are so fun and happy, just like this image.   Speaking of fun & happy images, Hannah just released some new Bug & Roo images that you HAVE to check out.  I will be whipping up some cards this weekend with these new cuties.  I can't wait.  Click >>> HERE <<< to see Hannah's new Bugs.

BLD Spotlight - Lollipop Sophie

Hi again!  I'm doing things a little backwards.  Rather than posting twice yesterday, I decided to split up my posts.  Tuesday's are usually my days for BLD, but I posted my All That Scraps review.  Sooooo today I will dazzle you with my latest card featuring Lollipop Sophie.

  

I used some fun new paper from Lily Bee Designs called Homemade.  For my focal point, Lollipop Sophie, I cut her out using my Spellbinders labels 10.  While keeping her in the die, I sponged some antique linen ink around the edges.  I stamped a little sentiment on this adorable mini pennant die from MFT.  What's not to smile at when you see any of these must have images from By LORi Designs!!  In case you missed the post on the BLD blog, click here to check out all of the amazing samples from the design team.

Easter Egg Hunt & Lollipop Bunny

Happy Day after Easter peeps! 

The kids had a great time searching for their Easter treats (aka eggs) yesterday.  Here are a few pictures to make you smile.....

Bet you thought I wasn't going to have a card to show ya.  LOL!  I actually made this a few weeks ago for the BLD Tuesday post, but haven't had a chance to share here until now.  It's never too late to share a bunny card is it?   I used one of my all time favorite BLD images - Lollipop Bunny.  I created a little backyard scene of my own using some very old We R Memory Keepers paper.

BLD - Easter Blog Hop!!

 

 
You know it's a good day when you start it off with images from BLD!  And it gets even better.   These cuties are all from the uber-talented Hannah Boyd!  She has shot the cuteness factor off the charts with her latest creations.   You can get this entire bundle for just $20!   

I made a bee line for this Bunny Girl #3 image.   Ain't she cute?  In case you haven't noticed, I've been a bit obsessed with my Dwell paper pad from MME.  I colored her with my Copics and then cut her out using my classic oval nestabilities.  I then sponged some antique linen distress ink, my other new favorite thing, around all of the edges.   I was actually all finished with the card when I decided to add my jumbo flower border.  I also used the flower cuts from inside the circles as embellishments!

BLD Spotlight - Puddle Jumper Easter Lyla

Hello!!!!!!!  Long time no blog.  I decided to take it easy these last couple of days.  Lots going on (as usual) with the home front.  As much as I love my family, some days I feel like I need a vacation from them!  In fact, maybe that's not such a bad thing.  Then they would *have* to do things for themselves for a change!!  **giggle**

I did manage to sneak a little time to myself to create my card for you today.   Can I just say that I am as big of a fan, if not BIGGER, of these adorable Puddle Jumper images from BLD since having the pleasure of working for LORi!

 

I felt a little shabby chic after I decided to ink up all of the edges using some antique linen ink.  I may have to try a darker ink next time.  It really seemed to lighten after it dried.  I like the way it looked before it did.  All the patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Dwell.  It's it purdy?!

I also used one of my newest toys - Smooch Glitz (in frost) to cover my eggs.  I love my Stickles, but this stuff kicks its butt!

BLD Spotlight Post - Puddle Jumper Emma

Hi there!  Are you all surviving the "spring forward" with day light savings time?   I normally don't have any issues with it since I'm more of a morning person.  But for some reason this time change is kicking my butt!     So how about something crafty to shake things up?

I have a spring-y card to brighten up your day.  I used Jen Schults current decontructed sketch #42 for my inspiration. I wanted to use one of my beloved (original) Puddle Jumper images - Emma.

 

There are so many things I love about LORi's images, one is how many of them come with a "friend" or sentiment.  Emma came with this fluffy little guy.   He's ready to help her find some Easter goodies.   All of my patterned paper is from an older Jillibean Soup collection called Blossom.  I love these bright, spring-y colors.  Please stop by the BLD blog to see what other spring goodies the design team has created especially for you!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Happy Tuesday!  For some reason that sounds better than happy Monday.  Am I right?  *giggle*  We are in the thick of Girl Scout cookie sales right now, so my stamping time was a bit thin (no pun intended!) this weekend.  I recently picked up all of the new Bug & Roo images from BLD.

In case you didn't know, these cuties are created by LORi's daughter, Hannah.  And let me tell you, this young lady is VERY talented!  I just adore her images.  If you want to check out the new Bug & Roo images click  --> HERE <--

 

 

Our little Gretchen is dolled up and ready to do some serious shopping.   I borrowed the sentiment from my Moka Taylor set from TE since I thought it was perfect for this image.   All patterned paper is from Echo Park's Your's Truly paper pad.  I thought the color combo of pink & black were just what I was looking for when creating my girlie card.

BLD Spotlight - PJ Suzy

Hellooooo!!  I hope your week is starting off good.  Lots will be happening on the blog this week.  All good stuff!! 

Starting with today's post from By LORi Desgins.  There's plenty of love going around blog-land these days and this cutie from BLD is no exception. 

This is PJ - Suzy and she is one of 10 new images released this month from my dear friend LORi Boyd.  I had some more of my new favorite papers out - Love Me from My Mind's Eye, so I decided to give Suzy a more grown up card.   I also  used one of my new *toys* from TE - medium layering doily die.  Isn't it pretty?!

 

These gorgeous papers made it easy to achieve the look I was going for.  I love how the red jumps off the screen.   I used my black glaze pen to give Suzy her black patent leather mary janes.  A few tiny rhinestones to her dress to make it pop a little.   I hope you will join me in morning blog stops to check out what my fellow BLD sister's have whipped up for you today.  Click ---> HERE<--- to be taken to the BLD blog.

BLD Spotlight Post - PJ Sara

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  I meant to get this post up  yesterday, but as life would have it I'm starting off my week behind schedule.  UGH!!  Oh well, better late than never, right?  I'm trying really hard not to sweat the small stuff.  Cause I can get crazy with worry over the littlest things.

Are you ready for some LOVE?  Well not to worry - there is plenty to go around with BLD.  LORi released 10 new images last week.  And for a limited time you can get all of them for $25.00!

 

I knew I wanted to use my favorite new paper pad from My Mind's Eye - Love Me.  Once I had that decided the rest fell into place.  I'm having fun experimenting with my Copics and coloring.  For Sara's dress I went for something completely different for me - blues/green.  The pink felt heart is from a packet I picked up from Martha Stewart at Michael's awhile back.  The blue heart I made using my new Hearts A Plenty die from Taylored Expressions.  Note to self.... order more felt colors!!
