Happy Friday!!  Just popping in to say HI and share another card (no, not a beach one!) featuring one of the new images released this month - Sugarplums Sassy Emma.  My card wouldn't be complete without one of AmyR's perfectly coordinating sentiments.  This one was also released this month - Many Thanks!

 

I paired Emma with some older paper from Basic Grey.  It's from the Offbeat collection.  You can't tell from the photo, but I also colored parts of her with some Spica Glitter pens.  Just a touch to her shoes and all over her headband.

I have a jam packed weekend ahead.  My oldest grandson is making his first Holy Communion tomorrow and then Sunday we're headed to a Giants game.  It's my first time visiting AT&T park - the new stadium for the S.F. Giants.  DH was sweet enough to score us some tickets - part 2 of my Mother's Day gift!

More Beach Cuties - Sugarplums Beach Kit

I recently picked up some fabby paper from Fancy Pants.  I think it's an older collection called Beach Babe.  But that obviously didn't stop me from snatching it up.  I love these colors together too.  I had this lonely little Doodlebug charm (FUN) sitting out and I said, why not.   The little flowers are from C.C. Designs Tags It stamp & die set.  I added some matching Stickles to the centers and then dusted them with Smooch Glitz.

Day Two - All That Scraps Sneak Peeks

Can I just tell you how much I love this new release?!   Well if you couldn't tell by yesterday's card, then I hope you can tell by today's!  I first have a confession.  I didn't use any new paper for this one.  In fact, this is an older Stampin' Up! collection that I've been hanging on to.  I literally had one of my "you never know" purchases pay off.  Get this, I looked at the date on the package and it said 2007!!! 

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee tell me I'm not alone here.  Has that happened to anyone else?  Okay, about this cutie.  Ladies, meet Cherry Lucy.  Like our new friend Beatrice, Lucy is also very sweet! 

I've been playing around with my Copics trying to color hair like the pros.   Like most things, it's a work in progress.  Hopefully one of these days I can take a Copics certification course.  I just love the pop of red throughout the card.   For the sentiment, I used another new one of the logo images.  I stamped it using warm red Colorbox chalk ink on kraft card stock.  A few tiny rhinestone gems to the cherries for more pop.

Let the Sneak Peeks Begin!!!

Are you ready for a sweet treat?  Meet the newest cuties to join the All That Scraps family.  This is Berry Beatrice and she truly is the pick of the patch.   I wanted to pick just the right papers to use with her and when I came across this scrap from My Mind's Eye's Howdy Doody collection I knew this was the one. 

I wanted to do something a little different by not making her strawberry red.  So I went with my favorite pink Copics - R81, R83 & R85.  I really like the way she turned out.  The sentiment is from this months coordinating Berry Logos.

All That Scraps Review - Rainy Day Birgitta

Rain, rain go away.  Come again another day!  Do you guys remember singing that when you were a kid?  I do.  Funny thing is while I was making this card over the weekend we hit 90 degrees!  It was a welcome surprise and definitely lifted my spirits to make this happy little card.

Today we are reviewing some of the amazing images that were released earlier this month.  Up today is one of the new Swiss Pixies, Rainy Day Birgitta.  I just adore how she is holding a leaf over her to stay dry. 

 

Not sure if you can tell, but I had a lot of fun putting this together.  I recently scored this gorgeous paper pad from Bo Bunny - Country Garden.  All of the patterns are these light colors.  Hard to believe I didn't use pink!!  I worked with 2 different sheets from the paper pad to make my card.  It may be difficult to see but I used one of the new MFT fishtail dies under my image.  I also used the same paper for the leaves, which are from Taylored Expressions.  I then used some of the left over scraps for my sentiment circle and Birgitta's paper pieced dress.

All That Scraps Review Time

Hi Gang!

I'm back with another fun post for you today.  A few months back my dear friend Jodi Collins sent me a very sweet care package that included an adorable 3x3 card.  You can see them on her post HERE.   I used her card as my inspiration to make my own little set of cards.  As I mentioned in a previous post, I went on a little online shopping spree recently and picked up some yummy new paper pads.  All of the patterned paper I used is from Simple Stories Fabulous. 

Here you can see a close up.  I used a few new items from the April release.  Included are the umbrella die, umbrella logos, and AmyR's So Wordy sentiments.  Lots of fun stuff in this release.

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - Day 2

So, how does your garden grow?  Hopefully much better than mine!  I am a terrible gardner.  I'm afraid I wasn't gifted with that gene.  I  did manage to luck out with my current set up.  Our landlord apparently had a green thumb, because I haven't killed what she planted over 13 years ago!  Now that's what I call a green thumb.  LOL!

Good news, the new Garden Laugh isn't like me!  She has a green thumb and the boots to match! 

 

 

I tried to think outside my comfort zone and go for some earthy, non-girly colors.  You know how I love my pastels!  I reached for MME On the Bright Side - ONE to help me out.  If you haven't already checked these new pads out, you have too!  There are some great patterns included - like this faded wood-grain.  Perfect for my out dorsey card.  I made my little dirt patch by simply "dotting" some dark brown Copics (E35 & E57) followed by lighter ones (E31).  Sounds so technical, huh?  The new gardening logo is also being released.  It has an adorable, must have watering can die to coordinate.

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - Day 1

 

Rain, rain go away!  Let the rainbow come and play!

 

 

This adorable new Swiss Pixie, Umbrella Lula has all we need to help chase away those rainy day blues.  I added a lot of detail to this card.  Hopefully you can see it too.  I first ran my kraft card stock layer through my Cuttlebug using my clouds background impression plate from TE.  Afterwards, I sponged some white craft ink all over them to help them stand out.   I recently picked up this paper pad from Jillibean Soup - Southern Chicken Dumplings just for this adorable umbrella paper.   I know, I know.  This craft is a sickness.  LOL!

Christine paired up the new images with more fabulous logos and coordinating dies!

 Here's a close up of the puddle.......

 

I added some glass effects to make the puddle look wet.  I also used a black glaze pen to fill in the ends of the umbrella.  I also had some clear rain drop gems from A Muse that I added for effect.
