Happy Birthday - More Key Ingredients

Hi Gang!!  I hope your week is starting off great.  I have one more card to share with you featuring this months fabulous Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions!  I must have a thing for this adorable Moka, because as I was writing up my post, it dawned on me that I used her last month as well!  Hey when it's a great stamp, you've just gotta use it!!!

 

I kept the layout simple to have my sweet Moka Taylor front & center.  Don't you just love her adorable paper pieced dress?  I'm telling you everything in this kit is just perfect.  I may have to hoard what items I have left.  Especially these gorgeous wood buttons from Basic Grey.

Here's my take on Karen's new sketch: 

I used BIG Greetings from MFT as my focal point.  LOVE this set!  You can never have enough cards like this on hand for a friend in need.  I mean who doesn't need a BIG hug every now and then?  All patterned paper is from Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic collection.  I had fun with this color palette for me.  I also used two of my favorite frilly dies to help me out - Leafy Branch die from All That Scraps and mini rolled rose die from MFT.

Such a Peach

Hello again!  Look at me posting twice in the same week!  Go me!  LOL!  For some reason, I still can't get into the swing of things.  I definitely feel off my game when it comes to my poor blog.  Thank you to all of you that continue to come by and leave comments.  I do love to hear from you guys!  All 3 of you.    Sorry!  My warped sense of humor is rearing itself again.  Hee-hee!!

While I feel off my game blogging wise, my stamping definitely hasn't taken a back seat.  Always have to make time for my much needed "therapy!"   Something essential to that is my monthly Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions!

Hi gang!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  Nothing exciting for me to report.  Just the usual business and getting prepped for our fall giftwrap fundraiser at school.    My list of wrapping paper is growing.  Do I really need more?  Of course not!  I have about as much wrapping paper as I do craft paper!    I guess it doesn't matter what kind of paper it is, it just makes me smile.  And so does today's card!  Just look at this pair. 

 

Everything you see here came from this months fabulous KI Kit.    For my base I used red rock card stock and then layered it with some candle glow medium.  Did you know you get a full 6x6 paper pad of My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing Tangerine?  I love, love, love this paper.  After I layered my paper I sponged the edges with some antique linen distress ink.  Definitely my go to for getting a little shabby look to my card.  I stamped the pairs, from the Fruity Friends set, onto Copic X-press It cardstock.  After cutting it out with my classic oval nestablities, I also sponged it with the distress ink.   The card literally took me about 1/2 hour to create!  That's how easy the KI kits make things!  You gotta love that!

Hi gang!  I'm back today with another card to share with you featuring one of the newest gals to hit the farm - Swiss Pixie Lucy with chickens.  Ain't she a cutie?!   I paired her with some paper I had left over from another project.  It's from October Afternoon's Sidewalks collection.   There are more chicken images that come with this set and they are just as cute as the one she's holding. 

The layout may look familiar too.  It's my #1 favorite from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges.  This is SSSC161.  Speaking off.... there's still time to play with her current sketch challenge.  Pop on over to her blog to check out the details!

My card wouldn't be complete without a sentiment.  I chose this one from the new Farm Logos set.    There are some REALLY cute ones included.  One is in the shape of a bottle cap that you can also use one of the new C.C. Cutter dies for.  Sooooo cute!

Yes, I'm still here!  Sorry I haven't been blogging as much lately.  While it seems things are quite around here, they're not behind the scenes.  I've been a busy bee gearing up for new stuff.  More to come tomorrow!!   But I won't leave you hanging any longer.  Today I'm back with Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!

 

 

Halloween is definitely in the air.  My DD is busy plotting with all her besties what they're going to be.  For me it's all about the STAMPS!!  I decided to use one of my favorite TCP stamps - Witchy to help me out.  Isn't she a cutie?!  This sketch was perfect for me to pull out my web border punch and fun new Halloween paper from Doodlebug Designs.  To get my night background, I air brushed my circle while it was still in the die.  I used a small cloud die cut as my template and moved it around to get the effect I wanted.

Let the sneak peeks begin!!!

Hello and welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for All That Scraps.  And do we have a treat in store for you.   This release is HUGE and the new dies are TO DIE FOR!  Yes, pun was intended!  LOL!

You know I was jumping out of my chair (I really was) when I saw this cutie in the line up.  So it's no coincidence she is my the first one I'm posting.  This is Swiss Pixie Heidi with her Kitty.  I colored him gray in honor of my beloved, Smokey. 

 

 

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #166 as my inspiration for my layout and paired it with some yummy new paper from Simple Stories - Harvest Lane.  I love the warm fall colors created here.  Purrfect for sweet Heidi and her furry friend.  The banner in the corner is actually one of the new dies being released this week.  There are different banner shapes included, however for mine banner, I simply cut out letters on one of the patterned pieces included in this 6x6 pad.  Easy peasy!!
