Happy Halloween with the Meoples

Hi gang!  Can you believe how crazy the stores are now with all of the Halloween candy?  Personally I try to avoid it until the last possible minute.  LOL!   And I will only get candy that won't call to me from the candy bowl by the front door.  Yes, believe it or not not all candy calls to me.  For example, Sweet Tarts..... really you can't compare them to say a Snickers bar!  Am I right?!  LOL!

I realized I hadn't yet posted this little trick (or treat) on my blog.  You may have seen it over on the ATS blog during the sneak peeks earlier this month.   Today's card features Meoples Witches & Goblins.   I just *LOVE* these images!!  There are a total of four images included in this set.    

 

I used a single sheet of patterned paper for my back ground.  I think this is from DCWV.  I also used 2 new dies - Spooky Tree and Bats.  After I cut out my tree I stamped it using a woodgrain background stamp.  I got that idea from stamper extraordinaire - Pam Sparks.  You can see her awesome tutorial >>> HERE <<<  Thanks Pam!!

Good morning stampy friends!  I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weekend.  Life feels like it's getting back to normal now that school is back in full swing.  I think I need the routine more than anyone else in the house!   What can I say, I'm a creature of habit.  Today is no exception.  Many of you know how much I love sketches.  Karen's are a definite GO - TO for me as they are so fresh and fun.  I can always count on them to get my mojo going.

Just look at her new one.  Don't you just love the penant in the corner?!  I do!! 

 

It's always good to have a good stash of birthday cards around.  And since I happened to have my new Corner Banner die from All That Scraps still on my desk, I decided to use it again for today's card.  Don't you just love the layered affect you get with it?  This cutie is one of the new Pure Innocence images from MFT called Birthday Girl.  I paper pieced her dress using some left over scraps from my banner.  All patterned paper is from Echo Park's Sweet Day.  Perfect for this sweet birthday girl.

Birthday Bash Blog Hop!!

We are celebrating BIG time today. Why may you ask?  Well it happens to be Miss Christine’s Birthday and we decided to have a party! We are doing a blog hop just for her. So how exactly do you go about creating a card for someone so special?  Well I would say you start with an adorable image that she drew for one!  And honestly narrowing it down to one was no easy task.  I have been blessed to work for this incredibly giving and amazing lady for the past four years.  And her images just keep getting better & better.  I will never forget the night she released her first images.  I waited patiently by the computer waiting to fill up my shopping cart.   You may remember some of them... like THIS one or THIS one!   Her designs have grown to include so many new cuties like the Swiss Pixies, Sugarplums, Beatrice and the newest - Meoples to name just a few. 

I couldn't resist using Party Time Lucy and my favorite Corner Banner Die my card.  I had so much fun with this color scheme.  I hope Christine likes it too!!  Thank you Christine for having me a part of this wonderful journey!!   I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!

August Key Ingredients

For today's card I used Moka Taylor.  I stamped the sentiment on some choice butter cream card stock (also from the kit) and then cut it out using Take Note Frame 3 die.  I cut it in half so I could tuck it neatly under my image panel.   Everything you see in my card (with the exception of the pearls) is from the kit.  The cool polka dot floor is actually washi tape!  There is so many gorgeous patterns in this months paper pad, that I just had to paper piece Taylor's dress & headband.  CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning!  It feels weird to be blogging.  I've been off the ole computer for most of the week.  It's been nice to "unplug" and relax.  I'd be lying if I'd say I was 100% unplugged.  Thank God for my iPhone!  LOL!    I'm back today with a fun new sketch from Karen Giron.   I just couldn't decide on what image to use and then when I decided to do a farewell to summer - my *favorite* BLD image - Lollipop Watermelon Girl was the natural choice.

 

As you can see (hopefully) I turned the sketch on it's side to make it work for how I envisioned my card.  Love, love, love this fun paper from Echo Park called Hello Summer.  Can you also tell how much I love these fishtails?  All of the paper I used is from my June Key Ingredients Kit.  Buttons are from my PTI stash and the sentiment is from AmyR's So Wordy available at All That Scraps.

All That Scraps Review - More Back-to-School Goodness

Hi Gang!  I'm back!!!  Sorry I've been M.I.A.  I've taken a few days off to enjoy some time with my DD before school starts.  We had a great day yesterday at our local amusement park.  She's a little taller than last summer, so we got to try a few more rides.  F*U*N*!! 

This month's release at All That Scraps is beyond cute.  Several must have back-to-school images & dies to get a jump start on my school themed cards for our new 4th grade teacher!  For today's card I used School Lucy, School Logos & Corner Banner Die.  Love, love, love these logos.  Christine added this adorable pencil to the mix to pearch Lucy or Hansel upon.   

I picked up this paper pad from Crate Paper awhile back because I just *had* to have it.  You guys know what I'm talking about.  LOL!  The collection is called School Spirit.  I love how the burnt orange against the black and kraft looks.  Isn't this banner die just fabulous?  It comes with two dies so you can nest/layer them like I did.
