All That Scraps - Halloween Sneak Peeks!

My sweet friend, Sheri Gilson, you may know her from her awesome blog, Paper Crafty Creations.  She created this FABULOUS little project awhile back.  And she was kind enough to send it to me!!   Being the hard core hoarder, I mean crafter.... I snatched up these adorable Pumpkin Nestabilities to make this cutie.

 

Isn't Beatrice just a cutie??? Love, love, love her!  Who am I kidding.  I love everything Christine draws!  I first cut out two panels of this dotted card stock from Bo Bunny using the largest of the dies.  The striped center paper is older paper from My Mind's Eye.   I made a back for this as it is a card (vs. a tag) with the same papers.  I thought this would be super cute to add to a little Halloween gift for my DD.  The sentiment is also from this month's release (I told you it was big) called Halloween Sentiments.  I cut it out using the versitle Banners & Tags dies.

Back to school with All That Scraps

Happy Monday!  And welcome to the August release sneak peeks for All That Scraps!  This month's release is one of the BIGGEST I've ever seen!  You guys are in for a real treat.  Images and dies will focus on back-to-school and Halloween!!

For today we are headed back-to-school.   Can't you just smell the new school supplies?  Pencils, crayons and notebooks!  Christine has given sweet Beatrice a little brother.  Ladies, meet Bauregard.   Isn't he a cutie?!  I just LOVE his over-sized pencil.  It reminds me of the larger pencils the Kindergartner's use. 

 

I had some Geek is Chic patterned paper from Imaginisce in my stash and decided it was time to actually use it.  For my sentiment, I stamped it with Colorbox white ink on black paper to make it look like a chalkboard.  Isn't the sentiment a hoot?

I used one of my newest TE sets - Adventure Land.  I had this idea of creating a birthday card for either a boy or girl.   As soon as I saw the titled tag I got super excited.  My moto is, when in doubt, tilt it!!  LOL!  I had so much fun whipping up this little number.  All of the paper is from an older Project Pantry kit featuring patterned paper from MME - Alphabet Soup.

SFYTT - I Want Candy

Happy almost Friday!  I hope your week has been going well.   I've been a busy bee lately and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.   I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that school is starting in a few weeks!   We shopped for back-to-school supplies the other day and I still couldn't believe it.  Am I a total nerd that I still ♥ love to shop for school supplies?  I don't know what it is about it that I love so much.  Maybe because it's like buying crafting stuff!  LOL! 

Okay so now I want some candy!  Well not literally.  Today's post features Jen's awesome SFYTT for the month and the sweet new kids on the block - The Meoples. 

I did something a little different.  Well at least different for me.  I used white card stock for my base.  I almost never do that!  LOL!  I've seen other crafters do that and I always say, "why didn't I think of that!"  I used more fun paper from Echo Park's Hello Summer to show off my sweet lollipop wielding Meople. After I got her all colored and popped up on the card it was missing a little something.  So I stamped this fun sweet ticket logo in warm red Colorbox ink on kraft paper.  Once the ink dried I cut out the tag using a coordinating ticket die from All That Scraps and added some red pearls to the corners.

July Key Ingredients Kit

Happy Wednesday!   I'm back with another card I created using this month's Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions.  As many of you already know, in addition to my KI kits, when I need a little inspiration to help kick up my stamping mojo, I always turn to sketches.

It was no different this time when I sat down to stamp.  I already had the great foundation with my KI kit.  I tell you there's nothing better than having all the perfect papers and embellishments already selected for you and yet you still have the room to give it your own signature style! 

For today's card I turned to TESC157 and my Make it Amazing stamp set.  After stamping this gorgeous butterfly on choice buttercream card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, I cut it out using the coordinating Elegant Butterflies die.  I used some colored chalk to add the greenish yellow to the center of the butterfly then gave it a good coating with my Smooch Glitz.  No coloring on this one!

You're Too Cute!

Hi gang!  Where did the weekend go?  I'm beginning to seriously think I need a vacation soon.  Hard to believe I haven't taken any time off yet.  I'm actually saving all of my time for a surprise trip to Disneyland we are planning in October for my daughter.  She will be turning 10 (I still can't believe that!) and she's never been.  We just haven't been in a financial position to do it until now.  I can't wait to see the look on her face when we do tell her.

Today's post is dedicated to her.  I'm always telling her she's just too darn cute.  I've been having withdrawls from coloring up my BLD images that I just had to play with them.  For today's card I used the adorable Lollipop - Sophie. 

Does the layout look familiar?  If you guessed Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch (#163), then you'd be right!  I used my favorite card making GO TO kit - last months Key Ingredients kit featuring patterned papers from Echo Park's Hello Summer.  To make the sentiment stand out I stamped this fabulous sentiment (from MFT) onto kraft card stock.  For some strange reason my pearls look more teal in this picture, when they are really light blue.  I know, I know.  Don't sweat the small stuff.  LOL!

I'd flip out without you......

Happy Friday Everyone!!!  I had a bit of a stamping bug over the weekend and whipped out another card using Karen's SSSC163.  I used more of the fabulous paper from Echo Park's Paradise Beach and this awesome set from Papertrey Ink - Flipping Out.  And believe it or not there's not an inch of coloring to this card.  It's all stamping and die cutting.   The stamp set has a coordinating die you can purchase separately.  But why wouldn't you get it?  I mean look at this!  In addition to the flip flop you get a "V" and a flower/heart die.  I used the flower for my accent and topped it with yellow rhinestones.  Do you like the flower I added towards the bottom?  That's another fun new die I picked up form TE. It's called Petal Pop-Ups 2.  I can't help by smile when I see these bright colors.  Makes me want to dip my toes in the sand too!

More Key Ingredients Fun!

Hello!  I meant to get this post up yesterday and somewhere between my daughter's summer activities and my crazy schedule it just didn't happen.  Sorry!!! I have another fabulous sample featuring this month's Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions.   I had so much fun whipping this beauty up.  Like my first KI card, I used the Make It Amazing set.  I love the simple elegance of the images and how it coordinates with the patterned paper - Cosmo Cricket's Tea for Two.  

I kept my layout simple using some coordinating ink colors to match my paper.  I stamped the flower with cantaloupe Memento ink and the frame and sentiment using rich cocoa.  Don't you just love this yummy ribbon?  I tied a double loopy bow using my Bow Easy. Love that tool!

Emma Cupcake & DT Call Reminder

Good Morning friends!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  You may or may not have noticed that I posted both days this weekend! I know.  Don't fall off your chair.  LOL!  In case you missed it scroll down - my first post was for my dear friend, Heather Dennis' Hot Blog Hop for Fresh Brewed Designs.  And the second was my big announcement regarding Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! 

I'm back today with another sweet treat featuring the newly released Sugarplum - Cupcake Emma.  All paper is from last month's TE Key Ingredients kit featuring patterned paper from Echo Park's Hello Summer.  LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this paper!

 

I had so much fun coloring up this cutie.  I used some of my favorites (in addition to the patterned paper) on this card; including fishtail STAX & vertical greetings die-namics from My Favorite Things and Smooch Glitz. After coloring Emma, I fussy cut her and proped her up with dimensionals to my vertical greetings die cut.  As you can tell, I'm having a love affair with these fishtail dies.  Hope you don't mind seeing them.   Another favorite is the Ticket dies from All That Scraps.  I love how Christine has been adding these "logos" to the monthly line ups.  It's a fun twist on using sentiments.
