Happy Thursday!  And welcome to this week's edition of Sketchy Thursday.  I'm surprised I didn't post this yesterday.  All week I've been a day off, thinking it was a day later than it was.  Not fun.  Because today would/should be Friday!

I want to thank my loyal Sketchy Thursday supporters for keeping each week alive.  While participation isn't high, it's always nice to see the "regulars" and newbies!!  This week's featured Sketch Artist is no stranger to these parts.  In fact, she's been a regular player and one of the most featured Sketch Artists.  Please join me in congratulating......

I'm sure it's easy to see why this card drew me in.  At first you might say it was the bright, cheery colors and how she used the sketch.  But in case you didn't know, this is a 3-D treat dispenser box!! You have to stop by her blog, Heather's Coffee Break, to see more shots of this amazing project in action.   I also like how she added the bits of bling here and there.  Once again Heather's outside the box thinking caught my eye and literally had me tasting the rainbow!

BLD - Easter Blog Hop!!

 

 
You know it's a good day when you start it off with images from BLD!  And it gets even better.   These cuties are all from the uber-talented Hannah Boyd!  She has shot the cuteness factor off the charts with her latest creations.   You can get this entire bundle for just $20!   

I made a bee line for this Bunny Girl #3 image.   Ain't she cute?  In case you haven't noticed, I've been a bit obsessed with my Dwell paper pad from MME.  I colored her with my Copics and then cut her out using my classic oval nestabilities.  I then sponged some antique linen distress ink, my other new favorite thing, around all of the edges.   I was actually all finished with the card when I decided to add my jumbo flower border.  I also used the flower cuts from inside the circles as embellishments!

Better late, than never.......

It's Monday, it really is.  Sigh.  I wish we had some sort of do over button.  Know what I mean?  The weekend went by in a blink once again, and I'm feeling like I still have a bunch of stuff to do.  It will just have to wait until next weekend, right?  LOL!

I was able to sneak some much needed stamping time in though.  Gotta have your priorities straight!  I've had this adorable Moka April sitting patiently on my desk waiting to be turned into a card for a few weeks now.  I decided I better get her completed because it would be Halloween before we know it!

 

Today's card is dedicated to my friend Michele H.  I had the chance to finally catch up with her yesterday over cofee and it was great!  As always, she's a great friend who's all ears.  Thanks Michele!

Once again I turned to my go to card base - kraft.  And to think I once had an aversion to this color!  I paired it with some gorgeous plum pudding card stock and patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Happier collection.  I don't think I've ever seen Moka any cuter than she is with her bunny ears and Easter basket full of eggs.  I used more Smooch Glitz in frost on the eggs.  I LOVE THIS STUFF!  Looks like a lot of people do as it's currently sold out at Taylor's.   Also, if you haven't already picked up her Moka hair & skin color chart, you NEED THIS!  It's my absolute go to now.

TESC Sketch Challenge #155

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  So good to have you stop by today.    As you can see we have new sketch for you to play along with.  Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax. 

Spring is definitely in the air this week.  And Jen Shults has whipped up this fantastic sketch to help jump start your spring/Easter projects.  I had this adorable image from the Sweet Spring set peeking out at me from my scraps bin.  In addition to card bases and what not that never made it into a card, I have random stamped images in my scraps bin. 

Double bonus was this one was already colored!  I added some Smooch Glitz to my eggs for some added sparkle.

  All of the patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Dwell collection. 

Here's everything you need to know in order to participate:

1. Create a card using the sketch as inspiration. Feel free to switch up the shape or size of your card. As long as your project follows the general sketch, you’re good to go! You may play as many times as you want. Each upload will be entered into our weekly drawing, so the more you create - the better chance you have of winning the PRIZE!

2. Upload your project to Taylor's blog, using In Linkz before 8pm PST on Thursday, April 8th. If you also choose to upload your creation to on-line galleries (like SCS), use the keyword TESC155.

Hello again!  I hope everyone is having a good week.  I can't believe another week has come and gone already.  It just dawned on me that the kiddo's will be out of school before we know it.  I'm back with another sketch for you all to have fun with.  Hopefully this one will be more popular than that last two.  *blushing*  But before we get to that I want to announce this weeks featured Sketch Artist.

I fell in love with this adorable image she chose as her focus.  He's from Bugaboo stamps.  Jenn created this card for her hubby's birthday.  I'm sure he loved it too.  I like how she kept to the sketch and jazzed it up with her own style.  She also caught my eye with her fun choice of colors.   Throw a cupcake on top of it all and you have a winning combination!  Be sure to visit her blog, Jenn's Card Corner for more inspiration!

BLD Spotlight - Puddle Jumper Easter Lyla

Hello!!!!!!!  Long time no blog.  I decided to take it easy these last couple of days.  Lots going on (as usual) with the home front.  As much as I love my family, some days I feel like I need a vacation from them!  In fact, maybe that's not such a bad thing.  Then they would *have* to do things for themselves for a change!!  **giggle**

I did manage to sneak a little time to myself to create my card for you today.   Can I just say that I am as big of a fan, if not BIGGER, of these adorable Puddle Jumper images from BLD since having the pleasure of working for LORi!

 

I felt a little shabby chic after I decided to ink up all of the edges using some antique linen ink.  I may have to try a darker ink next time.  It really seemed to lighten after it dried.  I like the way it looked before it did.  All the patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Dwell.  It's it purdy?!

I also used one of my newest toys - Smooch Glitz (in frost) to cover my eggs.  I love my Stickles, but this stuff kicks its butt!

Gooood morning stamping friends!!!  I can't tell you how excited I am that there's only one more work day left in this week.  The days are longer, but the nights definitely seem shorter.  Am I right?  With any luck I will catch up on my sleep this weekend and kick this whatever I've caught. 

Another thing I'm excited about is this weeks featured Sketch Artist.  We don't normally have a repeat offender, but once you see her card you will see why she is.  Please join me in congratulating.....

What did I tell you?  As soon as I saw these gorgeous butterflies I knew it wasn't a coincidence!   I rarely have a vision of what I see my sketch looking like when I draft it, because you guys ALWAYS exceed that vision.  Just as Dana has with her beautiful card.  I like how she uses just the right mix of black to make her colors POP!  In case you missed checking out her blog, Got Joy Creations, last week be sure to head over there and leave her some love!

All That Scraps - Anything Goes Challenge

It's time for another fun challenge with All That Scraps!

 
I couldn't wait to play with one of my favorite lines from All That Scraps - Laugh Lines.  This image is called Butterfly.  Have you noticed all of the butterflies floating around blogland lately?  It must be spring! 

Can you tell how much fun I had coloring this?!  Once again I've been using tips I've learned from Color Me Copic. If you haven't checked out that blog, you really should.  Very helpful how to videos on what else?  Coloring!  I kept the layout simple to keep the focus on my image.  All patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Vanity collection.  Everything wouldn't be complete without some actual butterflies using my C.C. Cutters butterfly dies.

Sadly I used up the last bit of this gorgeous silk ribbon my dear friend Michele H. picked up for me.  I need to get more of it, like ASAP.  You know how we hoarders are about running out of things.

BLD Spotlight Post - Puddle Jumper Emma

Hi there!  Are you all surviving the "spring forward" with day light savings time?   I normally don't have any issues with it since I'm more of a morning person.  But for some reason this time change is kicking my butt!     So how about something crafty to shake things up?

I have a spring-y card to brighten up your day.  I used Jen Schults current decontructed sketch #42 for my inspiration. I wanted to use one of my beloved (original) Puddle Jumper images - Emma.

 

There are so many things I love about LORi's images, one is how many of them come with a "friend" or sentiment.  Emma came with this fluffy little guy.   He's ready to help her find some Easter goodies.   All of my patterned paper is from an older Jillibean Soup collection called Blossom.  I love these bright, spring-y colors.  Please stop by the BLD blog to see what other spring goodies the design team has created especially for you!

You make my heart skip

Hello and happy Monday!   I hope you all had a good weekend.  I spent most of it feeling under the weather.  I ended up catching what DD had earlier last week.  Crossing fingers & toes DH doesn't get it.  He's the worst sick person!!  **giggle**

Unfortunately my mojo was also hit because of this bug.  Luckily I had a card stashed away that I hadn't posted yet.      

 

My card features one of my favorite Moka images from Taylored Expressions, Moka Cherie.  I used Deconstructed sketch #38 for my inspiration.  The base of my card is smokey shadow from Papertrey Ink.  I  really like it as an alternative to black.  All the patterned paper is from Echo Park's Yours Truly.  Do you like how I colored her hair?  I used my handy Moka hair color chart to help me with my color choices.  This is a must have for any stamper.  You can use it on any of your images.   I hope this makes your heart skip a beat.
