Final Sketch Artist of 2011

Hello!  I'm just popping in to announce our final Sketch Artist for 2011.   But before I do, I wanted to thank everyone for all of their prayers, love and support for me and my family.  My dad's passing has left a large void in our family.  We miss him so much.  I thought it was painful to watch him in his final days, but the days after are proving to be just as difficult.  It's during these darker times, that I have been comforted by every ones support.  I have the best blog followers ever!!!!

Thank you you guys.  I mean that from the bottom of my heart!!

I can't believe the year is almost over.  And with that comes our final Sketch Artist for 2011.  Please join me in congratulating......

Shut the front door!  Right?!  I just about died when I clicked on the thumbnail and was greeted by this on the other end.  WOWWWWWZERS!!!  It literally pulled me in.  The image is fabulous on it's own - did you see the Cuttlebug on her desk?!   Love it!  But Heather kicks it up even further with her elaborate background - calendar, to-do list and window treatment.  Heather is a regular around these parts, but it's her out side of the box cards that make her a one of a kind! 

And in case you didn't know..... Heather drew this image!  That's right.  She's the owner and illustrator of Fresh Brewed Designs.  Hop on over to her store to see what other images she has.  You might find several of them jump into your shopping cart!

TESC Sketch Challenge #150

Happy Friday!!  And welcome to Taylor's one hundred and fiftieth sketch!  As many of you know, things have been a bit hectic for me lately, so I felt it was fitting for me to pull out my Life is a Circus set.  I just love this set.  The possibilities are endless - birthday cards, invitations, thank you or just because.  I had my oldest grandson in mind when I made this.  He's turning 8 this weekend and he still loves everything trains.  I hope he likes the card I made him.  I'm sure he will.  He's such a good boy! 

Taylor asked us to share our favorite Sketch from the previous 149.  And that was easy for me.  #133 is and continues to be my favorite.  Any guesses as to why?  Well if you said, isn't that the one you entered when Taylor was looking to fill some spots on the Sketch Crew?  Yup!!  That's the one.  You may also know from following my blog, that it has been one of my hearts desires to be a part of Taylored Expressions.  It's such an honor to be a part of something I feel so passionately about!!

Edited to add - my dad passed away this morning. Please continue to to keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace Dad.

I am so happy I'm able to post this.  His wish was to be able to live to see his 60th birthday - 11/11/11.

Please continue to send him your prayers.  Dad was admited to hospice yesterday afternoon.  We are in the final stages of this dreaded disease.  He is comfortable for now.  It just breaks my heart that he will never be coming home.

Sketchy Thursday

Happy Thursday!!

I just wanted to thank everyone that has participated in Sketchy Thursday for 2011.  Today's sketch will be the last sketch for this year!  So let's go out with a bang.  I will be taking the rest of the year off to focus on family and enjoy the holidays. But not to worry - I will be continuing to stamp.  I have plenty of sneak peeks and other things planned for the rest of the year.

You know how there are things in life that you just "know"?  Well that's exactly how I felt when I saw Tinla's card!  How cute is this?  I have a soft spot for these adorable Elzybell images.   I especially like how she stamped each of them then framed them using her pen.  Her choice of patterned paper make the focal image POP too.  And it's a good thing, cause it's a showstopper.

All That Scraps sneak peeks

Happy Monday!

Did everyone have a good weekend?  What did you do with your extra hour?  I actually felt as if I had an entire extra day!  LOL!  Had a good day with dad on Saturday.  He had his wheel chair delivered.  And while he doesn't actually need it yet, he was having fun letting us push him around in it.   

It also looks like he will get his wish to make it to his 60th birthday!  This Friday, 11-11-11 is the day.  Thank you to everyone's continued prayers - THEY ARE WORKING!!

I had mentioned I made a some cards for the November sneak peeks for All That Scraps.  Well the wait is over.  LOL!  For my card today I used the adorable C.C. Designs Snowman stamp.   

 

I wanted to do a card using non-traditional holiday colors.  I pulled out my 12 days paper pad  from My Minds Eye to help.  LOVE the bright prints of this paper pad!  I originally didn't have the icicle border but without it I felt something was missing.  A definite oldie but goodie.   And in case you missed last week's sneak peeks over on the ATS blog, you can check them all out >>> HERE <<< .  The stamps are ALL available and waiting to come to your house.  Pop on over to All That Scraps and get a jump start on your holiday card making!

Yes it's been crickets around here this week.    Sorry guys.  Have had a lot on my plate, as you know.  In fact All that Scraps has new stamps being released today, and I haven't had any sneak peeks for you.  I'm really sorry.  I decided I needed to come up for air today being Sketchy Thursday and all.
