Now I know you are going to have that Rebecca Black jingle in your head all day!    I heard it on the way into work and it's stuck in mine!   And if you have NO idea what I'm talking about, click on her name to see her You Tube video. It's unbelievable the amount of buzz this girl is getting.

Speaking about buzz, are you ready for another sneak peek?  Today's sneak peek is one of four new little ones from Amy Young's Sweet November line.  They are called Flitters.  They are so stinkin' cute!  Each one comes with a fruit.  I chose this one which is strawberry.  I had ideas swimming around in my head of what to do with her and the strawberries.  While it didn't make it to this card, I promise the next time you see her she will have them!

 

I have had this adorable paper from Cosmo Cricket forever and decided it was time to use it, since it seemed to fit with my little flitter perfectly.  Notice anything new besides flitter?  If you guessed the flower, you'd be right.  I finally used my new rosette die from TCP's.  It comes in 2 sizes and it's super easy to use.  You will definitely be seeing more of them on my cards.

Sketchy Thursday #128

Woo-hoo!!!  It's time to get sketchy peeps!  I hope everyone is having a fantastic week.  My little one is on spring break this week and has been having a lot of fun with her grandparents & cousins.  I just wish I didn't have to work.  Wahhh!!!  But in all honesty, I am 100% grateful to be able to say that.  It wasn't that long ago that I wasn't working and scared for our family.

Thank you God for always providing!!!

I immediately fell in love with her use of the sketch.  I'd say she kicked it up a few notches and in a good way!   And those of you that follow my blog know how much I like stitching.  And Lola's is just perfect.  But what sinched it for me was this little snail.  How cute is he?   I love the way she colored him and added the little white dots to his shell.    And while I love the beautiful flourish, this little snail is the scene stealer!!   Be sure to check out Lola's blog Little Card Maker to give her some love and see what other gems you can find there.  There are a lot!!

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks Day 2 - AmyR Great Greetings

Howdy!  I'm back with another sneak peek for you today.  I actually have a two-fer!  Not only do I get to share with you the new & FANTASTIC sentiments from AmyR, but some new die cuts!  I actually snuck them in this card.  Shhhhhhhhhhhh!! 

  

 
My card was 100% inspired by one of my stamping idols, Susan Liles aka susiestampalot.  She had posted a card during the TCP release party a few weeks back, and after much begging, she sent it to me!  Thank you Susan!!  It's perched on my craft table inspiring me everyday.  I couldn't wait to bust out my new paper from Jillibean Soup's Blossom collection.  These colors are so bright & cheery.  I stamped one of Amy's newest sentiments then cut it out using my *favorite* new wonky rectangle Nestability.

As you can see, I'm still on a my paper piercing kick.  What-da you guys think?  Thumbs up or down?    The butterfly is my ultra top secret sneak peek today.  It's one of 2 sizes that will be released this Sunday, May 1st.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I love this die.   Hopefully my card does just what it says for you today..... S*M*I*L*E!

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - Day 1

Good Morning!! 

I'm so happy I finally get to share with you some of the May images that will be hitting All That Scraps on Sunday, May 1st!  Can I just say how much I adore Christine.  Not only is she incredibly talented & generous, but she is one of the best people to work for.  She is kind enough to send the design team our rubbah early!  I think I've had these babies for 2 months now. 

And isn't she C*U*T*E?!!  You guys know how much I love my Swiss Pixies.  In addition to my card today I also have a little tutorial!

 

In addition to Birgitta, you can also pick up this adorable stone wall with butterflies & flowers to perch her on.   I had a lot of fun coloring her & the wall.

Do you like the cloud background?  You can make it yourself too.  It's not patterned paper. Here's how....

 
If you have a cloud die cut you can use that as your template.  If you don't, you can use a scallop die.  Simply place the die cut on your paper and airbrush (or sponage) around it.  Continue by moving it around and repeating.  By moving the die cut around you are making your "clouds".  And the best part is there's no right or wrong!  You can go lighter or darker depending on how you want it to look. 

Easy peasy!

Did everyone have a good Easter?  I was happy the weather held out.   The kids found a total of 108 eggs!  Including our youngest grandson Bailey who's only 3 1/2 mos!!  I'm not much of chocolate bunny person, but give me those Peeps - yum!!! 

I'm back with another adorable MUST HAVE image from By LORi Designs.  Today's card features the cutest cook in the kitchen - Lollipop Lil' Chef (girl).

TE Sketch Challenge #137

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I'm SUPER excited about today's post.  Why may you ask?  Well it's my first "official" post as part of Taylor's Sketch Crew!!   I hope you will play along with us!

Just take a look at this baby.  Soooo fun!

 

 

I turned the sketch and added waves & sand for the scallops.  Look at me thinkin' outside the box.  LOL!  I love yellow & orange for summer colors when making cards.  I used a single piece of patterned paper to add some background for my card.  It's a really old one too from Flair Designs.  I've been hoarding it for awhile now.  Cuppie is soaking up some rays from the faux sun I made her.  I used my big scalloped ovals nesties for my sun and pierced the border for some texture.  And of course I had to use my glaze black pen for Cuppie's shades.

Happy Thursday!!!!  And welcome to another fun filled Sketchy Thursday!  I have been a busy  bee this week, not just with stamping, but work and home.  Sooo excited Easter is this weekend.  I love having all the grand-kids, nieces & nephews over to help my DD with our annual egg hunt.   Honestly, I think I have more fun with it all then they do. 

Speaking of fun.  Are you guys ready to see who this weeks featured Sketch Artist is?  I know I am.  And before I announce the winner, let me say  you guys made is SUPER tough on me to decide.  Really, you did.  I was about ready to announce 14 Sketch Artists!!  LOL!!!

 I am sure your jaws dropped when you saw this one too.  In fact mine still is.  I almost forgot about the sketch challenge because  I was so drawn in to this little work of art.   Her coloring is (off the charts) fantastic.  And just look at how well everything about her card flows.  Almost like water!  I like the mix up of different papers and how she stamped the sentiment in colored ink on kraft paper.  That anchor charm is pretty cool too.  *wink*  You may recognize Kathy or her blog Will Stamp for Wine.  She has been a featured Sketch Artist before!

Blast from the Past

Woo-hoo!!!!!  It's that time again.  Time to go back and ink up those oldie but goodie stamps!!  The sad thing about the stamping industry is it's much like technology.  As soon as something is released, we're already on to the next new thing!  Am I right?  This is one of reasons I play along with Taylor's blast from the past blog hop every month. 

 

 
The theme for this months hop is clean & simple.  I broke out my For the Love of cupcakes set for my card today.  I had some Echo Park Little Girl paper out on my desk and thought, why not?!  I pulled out this gorgeous hibiscus burst paper for my base.  Doesn't it just pop?!  I used a corner rounder on opposing sides of the image panel then followed with my paper piercer to frame it.  The sentiment is from Cuppie in the Kitchen and are truly words to live by!!

You perk me up!

Really you do!  Do you guys have a friend(s) that no matter what's going on in your life they some how perk you up?  I hope so!  Because everyone needs that now & then.  And wouldn't you know it, that person for me is the same person that bought me this stamp.  Thanks Michele!! 

Today's card features Perk me up Peeps by Stamping Bella.  Aren't they just the cutest pair of friends?  I just *love* their hair.  Soooooo adorable.

 

 
I had no idea what I was going to do when I set out to make this card.  I just knew I had to ink up this image and get these friends colored ASAP.  I really liked the red & blue color combo that the bottom peep was sporting so I dug through my paper stash and pulled out this paper from My Mind's Eye Love Me Do collection.  I love it when I use stuff I already have!  It almost makes me feel less guilty for all the new stuff I keep aquiring. 

As you can see I paper pieced the coffee cup with the same dotted paper.  I love this cup.  If I saw it in a store I'd definitely buy it.  I stamped the sentiment, which is included with the image, onto cardstock that I cut out using one of my new C.C. Cutters - banner tag dies.  I then topped it off with a heart shape, using my heart trio die from TCP, with a button and twine bow.

Shut the door, right?  When I caught wind of these little babies I was like an eager little school kid raising my hand to play with them - pick me!  pick me!    I mean how could I resist?  As soon as saw this image I immediately thought of this stuffed animal I picked up for my DD several years ago for Easter. 

I kept the layout simple, only using one piece of patterned paper.  Rather than using my sewing machine I opted to pierce my paper for effect.  I also dusted off my Prisma pencils & gamsol for my grass.
