All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - Sugarplums Christmas

Good Morning!!!  I have one final sneak peek for you today from the upcoming release from All That Scraps.  Up today is one of the images from the Sugarplums Christmas set.  This set was already released, so this really isn't a sneak peek, but rather a review! 

The images were previously only available as a set, but as of Monday you will be able to purchase the images separately!

For my card I decided to use one of the ornament images paired with another fantastic sentiment from AmyR's Merry & Bright set.  I pulled out my Basic Grey Jovial paper again for a more traditional look to my card.  The 3 ornaments are one image that can be used for a variety of looks.  Use it alone as I did or pair it with one of the many adorable Sugarplum images to  have them "sit" on them.  Just check out what the design team did over on the All That Scraps blog.  Even though it's a review you can still win this set.  Be sure to leave a comment when you pop over to the ATS blog!

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - AmyR Sassy Sentiments (2nd post)

This is my 2nd post today.  In case you missed my Claudia & Co. sneak peek scroll down!

Amy R has come out with another fantastic sentiment set.  You guys are going to LOVE these.  I know, I know I say that about all of her sets, but seriously you *have* to get this one!!  She called them Sassy Sentiments.  And they will spice up your cards with some humor.   I knew exactly which image I wanted to pair them up with after I got my set.

 

I cased THIS card from the amazing Joanne Basile.  I really liked the layout -it was lot of fun to work with.  Thanks to Joanne for the inspiration!!  As I mentioned earlier,  I knew I wanted to use this Kiki La Rueimage from C.C. Designs for my card.  There's just something about those big rollers in her hair and the way she's holding her coffee mug that says to me this gal is high maintenance.  LOL!  Like my card from yesterday, I airbrushed Y38 around my oval while it was still in the die.  I like how it softens up the main image.

Patterned paper is from American Crafts - Alphabet Soup (girls).  Isn't it cute?  It's a sampler pack I picked up from Die Cuts R Us.   The flower die and divine twine are from The Cat's Pajama's.

Claudia & Co. Sneak Peeks - Ella & Piper

Woot-woot!  I'm super excited today.  I finally get to share with you a sneak peek of some of the stamps that will be released soon from Claudia & Co.  LORi Boyd has drawn magic again with her adorable Puddle Jumpers.  Today's peek features Ella & Piper.   The new stamps will be available on Nov. 5th!

 

Now don't get me wrong, I love Ella, but it's her little penguin friend that pulls my heart strings.  Isn't he TOO cute?!  He follows Ella wherever she goes.   I pulled out my stash of MME's Colorful Christmas to play with.  It was opened and hardly touched.  GASP!  I had to correct that right away.   Such a fun paper pack with non-traditional holiday colors.  I added some Stickles to the center of the snowflakes which are also part of the paper pack.   I had some tiny rhinestones that I added to Ella's scarf, because like I always say everything is better with a little bling!  Each stamp set being shown comes with a "friend" and sentiment.

 

And here is Piper.  I just love that name for this cutie.  She looks like a mommy getting ready for the holiday festivities.  I actually colored her first and then decided I needed to pair her with Basic Grey's Jovial paper.  The paper is really beautiful.  Not as whimsical as my first card, but gorgeous.  It also happens to be on sale now too at Die Cuts R Us. And if you're not one to commit to an entire paper pad, Claudia has Jovial available in a sampler pack for $2.75!  I left out the additional image or "friend" for Piper's card.  But she comes with a gift image that is super cute.  You can color it or paper piece it.  You may not be able to see it from this picture, but I colored her dots with clear Spica glitter pen.  It does look really nice IRL.

All That Scraps Sneak Peeks - SugarPlums

 I *do* have a card to share with you today.  Yeah!!!!!!  I just *heart* this image.  What's not to love when you combine Sugarplums and chocolate chip cookies?! 

 

I used one of Mercy's sketches to get my mojo going after taking some time off these last few weeks.  This was #86.  I really love this layout.  You guys may be seeing this again.  I finally broke into my Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper pad.  I liked the different shades of green in the pack - perfect for my little Sugarplum.  The sentiment is from last month's release from AmyR's Holiday Greetings set.  ♥ this set!!  I airbrushed E31 for my background while my cardstock was still in the die.   If you want any other details, just leave me a comment and will be happy to share!

Blast from the Past Blog Hop!!

 
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas these days!  I was really looking forward to making some holiday cards.  And what better way than to blast into the past with Taylor & friends!  The focus for this month's BFTP was Christmas/Holiday.  You can never be too early!

 

 

For today's card I knew exactly which stamp I was going to ink up - one of my all time favorite Cuppie images from the Season's Sweetings set.  Doesn't she look all festive and ready to greet her holiday visitors? LOL!

I had just received my latest order from Die Cuts R Usand had this luscious red bakers twine sitting out on my desk and decided I had to use it.  It's not often I use an embellishment to design my card, but this stuff is yummy!  I happened to also have ordered a sampler pack of Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly and thought it would be the perfect companion for my card.  I left the bottom parts of my twine unattached to make it look like I wrapped up my card.

I really love participating in Taylor's Blast from the Past blog hops.  It helps me to play with older sets I still love, but have neglected for newer stuff.  You know what I'm talking about, right?  *grin*

And as an added bonus Taylor & her gals always have an optional sketch for inspiration.  Sankari did it again with this gem.

Sketchy Thursday #105

Hi gang!  Is this thing still working?

Sorry I've been MIA all week.  I've had A LOT of family stuff going on.  Some good stuff and some not so good stuff.  As a result my mojo has taken a hit as well.   I just can't get crafty when things around me are crazy and out of sorts.  Hopefully you can relate to what I'm talking about.  I hope to turn things around in the next few days.  Wish me luck!

It looks like either everyone was busy OR you didn't like the sketch.  I'll just assume you were all busy!  LOL!   I was happy to see a few people play along with my circle sketch from last week.  I truly loved each submission.   But once again the one with the kitty drew me in.

Claudia & Co. Baby Clairabeth

Happy Hump Day Peeps!  I have to say I'm pretty happy that this week is moving along quickly.  I started shopping for my DD's birthday party yesterday.  It was a little difficult with her in tow as she wanted me to buy everything of course.  *wink*  We also tried to squeeze in looking for a Halloween costume for her.  That was an ordeal.  There are so many choices for kids nowadays.  She keeps changing her mind!  I think I will wait another week before we commit to one. 

I know I will be dating myself, but how many of you remember those "boxed" Halloween costumes as kids?  There was a cheap plastic suit with matching mask like Casper or Wonder Woman?  

 

 

OMG, and it was a treat to get them!  ROFLOL!!!  I can remember going to the store with my mom or grandma and seeing all of the different ones propped up in a neat display on the shelves.  Made it nearly impossible to decide, and yet they were really all of the same!    Okay enough of memory lane, you guys are here to see a card, right?

I hadn't shared this one with you yet.  It's one of the new Puddle Jumper stamps from Claudia & Co.  This is Baby Clairabeth.  She comes complete with a sentiment and rattle.  I borrowed the teddy bear image from Puddle Jumpers Sammy.  It reminds me of my DD and her teddy bear.  She will be 8 in a few weeks and she still carries it with her to bed!  You all know how much I love these Puddle Jumpers.  As if they weren't already the cutest thing ever, you can interchange them to get more out of your stamping projects.

Patterned paper is from an older line from Imaginsce.  I hope you enjoy this little one as much as I did making her!
