Well I know you guys won't want to miss out on this new set by Diane, Get Well Critters!  There are so many fun images included in this set.  I couldn't resist using the jar and little bug for my first card.

 

The patterened paper is from Three Bugs in a Rug.  I just loved the color combo and played off of it.  I hope you like it too.

Review - Gingersnaps Bugg-A-Boos

Happy Friday!! 

Today is day #3 of sneak peeks over at All That Scraps.   Today's card is actually a review of Christine's Gingersnaps Bugg-A-Boos that were released at the beginning of this month.  I didn't even think to use one of the new sentiments on this card - senior moment ladies.  My apologies.   I was so focused on doing the review.  Some days I can't fit anymore into my poor brain.

I'm back!  Did you all enjoy the sneak peek this morning?  I just love that little baby!  Sooo cute!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for another sketch challenge.   I had so much fun pouring over everyone's submissions this week.  Some super cute stuff you guys.  But there was just something about this one that made me go, Wow!!  That's really outside the box!

This week's sketch is another simple one.  After all these all started out with my obsession for A Muse Art Stamps and that's what A Muse is all about, keeping it simple!  Speaking of A Muse, in case you didn't know they had a new release yesterday.  Some super cute images as well as some new paper.  I just picked up some from my LSS - Stamp on Over at lunch today!

 

This sketch was inspired by THIS pussy cat card by Adelina.  I just LOVE that card! I had BBQ  on the brain since we are planning a family picnic late next month in honor of my late grandpa.  He past away this February unexpectedly and it was one of the last things he was planning for the whole family.  We decided to go ahead with it like he would have wanted.

TCP Tuesday

Phew!  I never thought I'd get this challenge done and posted in time.  Been a whirlwind of a day.  Spent much of the morning in San Francisco with DH.  It was time for us to get our annual eye exam, although it's been MUCH longer for me.  2006 was my last visit.  YIKES!!  I've been a bad girl.  I had Lasik done in 2001 so I'm not as good about getting my eyes checked. 

But I was a good girl today and had that done.  Everything was A-ok and I ended up getting a new pair of Coach sunglasses!   I haven't splurged on anything for myself in a long time.  Well if you don't include stamps! 

My card this evening is for this week's TCP challenge.  Carole Burrage is this week's hipster hostess with the mostess.  And does she have a yummy sketch.  Check it out.

 

I had no doubt which stamp I wanted to use for today's card.   This was one of my very first TCP stamps I ever purchased.  Sprinkle is ever so relaxed in her blow up inner tube with a ice cold lemonade of course!

 

I used one of my much neglected Cuttlebug embossing folders - Tiny Bubbles.  It goes really well with my EK Success Beach Scene border punch too!

I hope you like it as much as I do.  It was a lot of fun to make.  I gotta run girls.  DH and I are babysitting BOTH grandsons tonight.  It should be interesting... a 2, 5 & 6 year old all in the same house.  All I can say is my step-daughter is gonna owe us BIG time!  Just kidding.  It should be a blast.  But just to be sure, you guys might want to check on me tomorrow. 

Review - Sugarplums Emma & AmyR's Beach Sentiments

Woot-woot!  It's Friday!!!!  And it's the beginning of a LONG weekend. I hope to take my DD to see Night at the Museum 2.  We really loved the first one.  Other than that I (hope) to have plenty of stamping time.

I need to start working  on the sneak peeks for June.  Can you believe it?  Another new release already! 

Today's card is a review of this month's Sugarplums.  I absolutely adore these images of Emma and Trevor.  Christine does too that's why she added a few more images called Beachies this past week!  Aren't these felt flowers yummy?  One of the many things I got at the Queen & Co. booth when I went to the Scrapbook Expo in March.  They were in a $1.00 bin with TONS of other products.

Sketchy Thursday #38

Welcome to another Thursday & another featured Sketch Artist!   Sorry today's post is coming so late.  My goal is to always post them first thing in the morning, but today got a little hectic.  So without futher delay, I'd like to thank everyone that participated in last week's challenge.   I know I say it every week, but all of the entries were REALLY good.   I wanted to pick so many of you as our featured Sketch Artist, but alas this one really jumped out at me............

Here is this week's sketch.  It's for a square card this time.   But please don't feel limited to do one just because I did.  I just like to mix it up because when I first started doing square cards I was stumped and found it challenging.  But I got passed it and love it as an alternative!

 

Here's my card.  Pretty straight forward.  Actually boring.  You won't believe the 'issues' I had trying to make a card last night.  It was just one of those evenings when everyone in the house wanted or demanded my attention.  Can't they do anything without me?!?  You girls know what I mean.  DD can't find her other shoe, DH wants to know what's for dinner.  Phone is ringing and no one will answer it as if they can't hear it.  AGHHHHHHHHH - Calgon take me away already! 

 

Okay, so my not so hot card.....

I used my Martha Steward mirco hearts border bunch for the edges.  Square notecard by A Muse is blush and the center strip is plum.  I also used my new deckled rectangle nesties to crop my princess bunny.  Sentiment is by Elzybells.

Cupcake Challenge

Monday, Monday, Monday...   Well girls it's the beginning of another week.  The good news is, this coming weekend is a LONG weekend!    Some how I managed to crank out another card yesterday while dying of heat.  It was close to 100 degrees yesterday here and we don't have air conditioning in our house.  Not only does the heat make me cranky, but it usually sets me up for a migrane.  Luckily the migraine didn't show up until AFTER I did my card. 

Today's card uses one of the new Gingersnaps Bugg-a-Boos images.  I just adore this set.  Christine is so amazingly talented.  She just keeps bringing us the cutest additions to these lines.  I'm always blown away at what she comes up with.

I made this card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge using this sketch......

 

Here's what I came up with.  It sort of evolved as I was making it.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  I'm not so happy with the picture I took though.  The sentiment looks like it's placed funny.  I assure you it's not, it's just the angle I took the picture from.    Sorry about that girls.  I'm really loving this purple & green with a splash of brown color combo.

 

I wanted to try to make the wings flutter, when I remembered this cool idea that Julie Buhler did with THIS card.  Isn't Julie so smart?!  I love her card.

I basically stamped another image of the wings, cut it out, and used a tiny piece of paper to prop it up.  Pretty simple.  Here's a close up of the wings.....
