I'm backkkkkkkkkk!!!

And with another sketch for you guys to try.  There were so many fun submissions this week.  From flowers that opened with messages inside, to penguins that "don't do mornings".  Soooo much fun.  Everyone did a fantastic job!   But I know you guys are in supense to see who this week's Featured Sketch Artist is.  Trust me, you don't want to miss this card!

You guys ready for another FUN sketch?  This week's sketch was inspired by THIS card by Her Royal Rubberness herself, Ms. Julie Ebersole.     You just know it's going to be a good one, right?!  I mean you can't think of Julie and NOT think of anything less than greatness! 

 

 Here's my sample.  Yes I know, another pink card.  Sorry you guys know I just love pink and my Cuttlebu Swiss dots folder.

Sneak Peek #2 - SugarPlum Beachies

Are you guys ready for some more sneak peeks?  You know you are!  Today over on the All That Scraps blog are some more sneak peeks featuring another must have set from Christine.  Today's sneak peek comes from her last addition to the SugarPlum gang, called Beachies.  Isn't she just THE cutest belle of the beach you've ever seen?  Ladies I'd like to introduce you to Emma.  There are more Emma images in this set as well as her brother Trevor.

I had so much fun making this card.  The base is coral cameo from SU!  Can you believe I've *never* used this color on a card before?  I really like it.  It's a kind of a combination of pink & orange.  It's difficult to tell from my picture, but at the center of each flower is a dab of crystal stickles.

Sneak Peek #1 - Cookie Crumbs Tilly

Happy Wednesday!  And Happy 1st day of sneak peeks for the May releases at All That Scraps.

The first sneak peek comes from Diane Zechman's Cookie Crumbs line.  The set is called Tilly.  Is she not the cutest little cow you ever saw?  She reminds me of the California cows they show on those cheese commercials.  You know cheese is better if it's from California! 

My card today was completely and totally inspired by THIS card from Susan Liles.  Hi Susan!   I absolutely love the card Susan made.  Actually I love everything Susan makes.  The woman is beyond talented.  You rock Susan!!

Cupcake Challenge

Where did the weekend go????  Did you guys at least have a good one?  Mine wasn't too bad.  LOTS & LOTS of stamping for me.  My mojo has returned. 

Another sketch challenge to the rescue to help with that.  Today is Taylor's Cupcake Challenge.  I wasn't sure how I was going to tackle this one, but something I started to work on last time I sat down to stamp was sitting on my desk, so I picked her up. 

 

What do you think?  Doesn't she just look like she's ready to wish you a happy birthday!  I had so much fun putting this card together.  The colors just scream happy to me.

 

Here's a close up of the Shimmerz and Diamond Glaze.  The outline around the Nestabilities curved rectangle isn't stickles.  I wish.  I didn't have that color, so it's glitter.  Let's just say that it was EVERYWHERE on my desk.

TCP Tuesday - Sketch Challenge

Hellooooooooooooooooooo!  It's kinda late to be posting, but I wanted to get this in before it was too late.  Nothing like a sketch to get your mojo going.  And did Carole come up with a fantastic sketch!  Thanks Carole!!

 

I hadn't even planned on using this stamp.  But this paper was just begging to be used.  And what a different color combo for me too.   In case you were wondering the paper is from Stampin' Up! and called Rockabilly.  It's a great pack of paper.  There's even cherries in it!!

 

I was actually able to make more than one card today, but I can't show you that one for a few more days.  It's for the upcoming release for All That Scraps.    I gotta run and give the little one a bath.  Then maybe a DVD for me.  DH is working on a side job tonight.  Then again..... maybe I'll watch Twilight again. **sigh**  Yes I'm in love with a fictional vampire!

Celebrate Review

It's FRIDAY!! 

 Tori, it *REALLY* is Friday today!!!!  

And if it couldn't get any better than that, I actually have a card to show you today.  But truth be told I actually made this weeks ago, so my mojo has not returned.  At least not that I know of. 

It's hard to believe that we're already gearing up for another new release at All That Sraps!  Seems just like yesterday Christine brought us another set of the lovable Gingersnaps girls.  Today's card is from the newly released Celebrate set.  I love every image included in this set.  SOOOOO cute.  There are a few sentiments included in it as well, like the one I used for this card.   AmyR's birthday sentiments are also a perfect companion for this set too.  I used them on THIS card with my Tweet-ies.

Sketchy Thursday #34

Happy almost Friday everyone!

I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  Hopefully it won't be as hot as last weekend.  I think I may have mementioned before that the heat & I really don't work well together.  It's really easy for me to get dehydrated and that will always trigger a migraine for me.  Not fun!  

It's so funny I was worried about last week's challenge being too simple, but from the feedback I received from a lot of people it sounds like it was just the thing.   I love it when that happens. 

You guys seriously turned up the challenge with some fabulous entries this week.  It was really hard to pick just one winner.  But there was just something special about this week's pick.  You'll see why......

Here is her SUPER card.  Don't you just love it?  As I commented on Armie's card I mentioned to her that this reminded me of how I felt I needed to be like this Super Bella on most days.  Mom, wife, employee, maid, chauffeur, teacher, cook, etc......  You guys can relate right?  We ARE the stronger sex girls!  And there's a good reason Mother's Day comes BEFORE Father's Day - payback ladies!  LOL!!!  Just kidding.

An Award but no card.......

Happy EARTH Day Everyone!      Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.  I've been in a little funk for some unknown reason and that has definitely affected my stamping mojo.  Does that ever happen to you guys?  I really really hate it!  So I hope you don't mind that I don't have anything crafty to share with you today, but I do have an award that Jay Jay  recently nominated me for.  Thanks Jay Jay!

Cupcake Challenge

It's the end of the weekend.  Say it isn't so!  I didn't get anything done.  Well nothing I was supposed to do that is.  I almost finished New Moon though and ready for the 3rd book in the Twilight series.  NEVER in my life have I been able to finish a book (let alone 2) so quickly.  I'm one of those people that falls asleep when they start to read. 

The only other thing I managed to do was ONE lonely card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge.

 

I had no idea what I wanted to do until I saw my pile of new paper from MME.  And this new Anya seemed to compliment the patterned paper!  And wouldn't you know it one of AmyR's Friendship sentiments worked perfectly for it too!

 

I was having the most the hardest time finding my mojo this weekend.  Hence all the reading.  So I'm not sure how I really feel about this card.  I don't hate it but I don't love it either.  I'd much rather *love* it.  Oh well.

Review - Tweeties

Yay for Friday!  And for surviving my first week at my new job.  I am really looking forward to the weekend.  Nothing planned other than the usual family/house stuff.    And of course some much needed stamping time!

Before I share today's post I wanted to invite all of you local girls to a used stamp sale starting officially next weekend - April 25th & 26th at Stamp on Over.  I will have a table there with TONS of stamps for the taking!  Many are just $1.00!!  They are priced to sell ladies.  And sadly many of them have never seen ink!  Included are A Muse, Memory Box, Gina K, My Favorite Things, Inky Antics, Saltbox Studio, DeNami Designs and MORE!  You won't want to miss this event.   I hope you will be able to stop by!
