It's Monday.....    I SOOOOOOO did NOT want to wake up this morning.

I don't have any cards to share this morning, but what I do have is SUPER special to me.

My DD has been aware of how sad mommy has been with losing her beloved Smokey.  Little did I know just how aware she was.  She made this for me the other day.

Her exact words were, "when you feel like you're missing Smokey you can look at this and your heart won't break anymore mommy." How could I not cry at that?  She is such a sweetheart.  Don't you love the way she drew me?  It's difficult to see in the picture, but she even drew my arm so that I'm petting Smokey.    How cute is that?

I also wanted to give a shout out to a fellow A Muse Addict Teresa.  She is hosting her first ATC swap.  She still has several openings if you are interested.  It's a great way to play with all of those new stamps you bought during A Muse A Palooza!

Sparkin' Halloween Style

Hi There!!!

Is everyone enjoying their weekend?  I *know* I am!  One more week until school starts.  Where did the summer go???

I had a chance to play with some of my new Martha Stewart Halloween punches. And just in time for this week's Share your Spark!  This week Heather challenged us to make a Halloween card.    I was *SO* excited to have a reason to make a Halloween card.  I'm just *dying* over the sneek peaks for the upcoming A Muse release.

Do you like my new fence punch?  The card was really simple and easy to do.  I sponaged grey Colorbox ink all over the background to give it a dusky feel to the image.  I also used Crystal Effects on the ghosts.  They look great IRL.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  It's funny how just waking up on Friday, everything just feels good.  I guess it also helps if you're a morning person - like me!

TCP Tuesday - Birthday Inspired

Hello & Happy Hump Day!!! 

Last night I had a chance to play with some of my un-inked TCP stamps.  Gasp!  I know, un-inked.  Virgin rubbah!  Ahhhhh it's so fun to buy and even more fun to get dirty.

This week's hostess with the mostess is Jen.  Jen challenge is an inspiration challenge.  And she picked a *great* one - BIRTHDAY'S.  What's not to love?

My card was inspired by the AMAZING Lauren Meador.  I used this sketch as my inspiration.

It's pretty simple.  I hope you guys like it. 

BTW, I am *LOVING* what you guys are coming up with on my very first sketch challenge.  Stay tuned as I will be bringing you another one tomorrow!

Hey There!

How's everyone doin'?  Hope my post finds you well and resting on this beautiful Sunday evening.  Another busy weekend, little time for stamping.  Did manage to squeeze in some of the Olymics.  Even my DD got into it.    She especially enjoyed the swimming.  Too cute.  She asked me why there weren't any little kids there swimming?!

I missed Heather's Share your Spark challenge last week.  I was having major withdrawls.    So I made sure I had a chance to get one in today.  This week Heather challenged us to make a cut out card like the one Julie designed for VMAA.  It was a ROCKIN' card!  I have to be honest this was truly difficult for me.  Then it hit me.  Looking out the window at the stars.  I felt the astericks on the notecard tied in well.

I stamped the starry background stamp on the inside to make it appear like you were looking outside. 

I want to thank you all of you that have participated so far in my first sketch challenge.  I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with!

Well sorry this is being posted a day later. Bonus Challenge By Her Royal Rubberness

VMAA wouldn't be the same without a *bonus* challenge.  And guess who popped in for it?  None other than Her Royal Rubberness herself, Julie Ebersole!  Julie challenged us to make a humorous friendship card based on the popular TV sitcom Friends. 

I didn't get a chance to post this last night as I had to pick up my DD from Grandma's house.

Mine didn't turn out so humorous, but it DID remind me of Central Perk!
